There's a place in Ocauchee Wi. that really needs to be avoided. That Place is a new restraunt called Foolery. Located on lake st. in Ocauchee Wi. The new owner is a real crab and not at all friendly to customers who just ask about fishing by the channel near his place. There were no posted signs saying no parking or fishing by the channel and this guy thought he owned it all like the rest of the million dollar home owners around the lake. I only wanted to ask about where to take a couple of my grandkids and nieces shore fishing for a few hours and this guy really showed how ignorant and stuck up rich people are. He owns the new restraunt on the lake and I hope none of my fellow members will step foot into his place. Anyone who would be that rude to fishermen/fisherwomen with children too is no friend of the fishing community and obviously only interested in profits and not the betterment of our children. Nothing like being told the public street isn't open for parking if his customers need it at 7 am for a 3 pm opening restraunt. Key word is public, the only 50 feet of public parking on what use to be a public lake now surrounded by million dollar homes were joe public isn't welcome anymore.
Called Okauchee lake. Remember the name "Foolerys"

here in texas there are lakes that are surrounded buy multi million doller homes and resorts. i personally have never had any probs. from owners that live near the lakes....ask permission and most ppl are accomidateing...but like anything else there are good ppl out there and then there are those that think they own the world.
i'm sorry u had to deal with that kind of behavior and hope u and yours don't think everyone is like that.....

Yea I did ask before even trying as most responsible people do and this guy wasn't even accomodating to answere my questions. He was more worried about loosing overflow parking 6 hours before opening. The streets are open to parking on the shoulders and even the officers said it would be no problem, But out of decency I aksed the owner of the restraunt anyway as the property lines were close and I wanted to make sure the pier was his and not a public one. Just a shame so many uppitty rich folk think they own everything with water around it even when the county says diffrent. 25 years ago you could find a place to take a small group of kids 3 or 4 fishing from shore where helping them out is easier, maybe these BMW and hummer driving buissiness owners need to remember what fishing was like when they were young and where their property lines really end. Happy hooking and thanks.......

When I was a kid, I used to go fishing at a little pond that belongs to the city public waterworks. Bordering it was a townhouse complex. Some of the people living in the townhomes would come out and act like jerks saying that it was a private pond and we couldn't fish there. Others were friendly and enjoyed just watching use pull up fish after fish and sometimes they talked to us. Now that place has been urbanized, like most of the trees around the pond is now cut down. It gets overgrown with algea and weed now.
