The day's conditions: Windy, gusting up to 20mph, 45 degrees, water temp at 45 degrees, Overcast.

I had to get out of the house fish. I brought a few crankbaits to get a workout. An idea hit me and I grabbed a 2" squarebill that sank. I superglued a couple of feathery, short strands to the side making the squarebill look like a small bird. I cast the lure. let it fall to the bottom, counted to 5, then turned the handle twice, let the lure drop again. As I came closer to shore, a 10" largemouth hit it. A second cast produced a 9" carp.
