    Hey All,
Just joined the club again after being gone for years. I like this new forum stuff and the chance to talk fishing like this. I live in SW lower Michigan and fish for everything available. The whole family fishes and enjoys the outdoors. I do the shore and boat thing. I mostly fish the river close to the house. We will be getting King Salmon in a few weeks and getting good small mouth now.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I went out to the river this morning and wet a line for a few hours. 4 cats and a sucker, no kings in the river yet to speak of  but was hoping for a walleye or two. I believe 2 of the cats were flatheads, looked different than the 2 channels and much to large for bullheads. They were yellowish green and brown mottled. Strange shape to the head. I should of taken a pic as I am sure there are members here that could positive ID them. Oh well maybe next time.

WELCOME TO ALL OF YOU!  Sounds like you guys are having fun and getting ready to have a lot more.  Good luck and Great Fishing.  Enjoy the forums--they mean a lot to me, get me through some hard days.  Uncle Tom
I built my own lure company as a young man--thus the name UncleTomsJigs. It grew so well I decided to give it up and go fishing with family, friends and especially grand children. I became disabled as a United Methodist Pastor IN 2002 and retired here in Coastal Georgia on a 10 acre lake where I continue to fish despite my disabilities. My wonderful wife and I enjoy fishing together. God has blessed us in so many ways and we pray the same for you. I am excited about having so many new friends all over this great country.

    Watwood,
Yeah they fought hard. They were pretty good size fish but from what I hear they were small for flatheads. I guess they grow huge here. I don't cat fish much but enjoy catching anything. Went out this weekend and ended catching nothing but 2 turtles, snappers this time. Oh well, good fishing to all.
