Hi all, just joined figured Id drop a line. Im an Illinois fisherman that targets mainly rivers and creeks for all types of cats. Still trying for my trophy flattie and blue. Which will happen this year(i can feel it). Biggest blue 15# and biggest flattie 20#. Sad I know. I have been chasing channels majority of my fishing life so the blues and flats are kinda new to me but fun nonetheless. And with the local lake adding 40+ # blues from Mississippi river I'm bound to hook into one soon. Well thanks and glad to be part of the club |

Welcome! Where abouts in the Land of Lincoln are you located? There are suprisingly few Il members on the forums for some reason. Stop by often as there is almost always something new. The site can be frustrating at times but I am learning to relax and deal with it. Tom |

Thanks for the welcome all. I'll check in regularly, never know what I might learn @ Pegsguy -- I'm from little town called Dawson, which is near Springfield. |

Welcome from SE Minnesota. Just remember - your next trophy fish may only be one more cast away. And if not, as least you are fishing |

Hey, I am in the Alton, IL area and I am new to NAFC as well. I just moved here from Montana after getting out of the military. I am originally from the St. Louis area, so it's been fun trying to figure out where to go in IL. The Mississippi is now a bit high to say the least, so now I have to find lakes and ponds to fish. Welcome to the club!!
