Does anyone have Club Member meets on the ice? I can' ttravel too far right now since I am looking for full-time work. But would be interested in meeting up in Northwet Illinois around Morrison, IL.

This is a really good idea! Its to bad Joda and Lip aren't around maybe they would have some idea's to where and when. I have never ice fished and don't have the time. But it would be an interesting meet. I wonder what area of the country has the most ice fisherman members?

I believe I read that Minnesota is first in Ice Fishing and Wisconsin second. I don't know how it breaks down for the rest of the country. I do know that when they are doing work to enhance fishing in Wisconsin they have Ice fishing in mind too.

I know it's early for Illinois, but I didn't want a meet to be a last minute thing. The last few years I have been able to fish a private pond close by. I was granted access because I had posted something on the boards looking for local members to fish with. I recieved a call from the club asking if it was okay to publish it in the NAFC monthly magazine. I said sure. I got about 4 responses from that ad and one of them was to be able to fish a private pond. Membership does have it's preveledges!! I've caught Bass, Crappie, Bluegill and Catfish ice fishing on that lake. I hear there are Walleye too, but haven't caught one yet. Maybe we could meet on his lake if I ask him.

Certainly sounds like a great idea! I'm probably out of range geographically, but if it's close, we'll be there!
