Well it's that time again. The meet that started em all is up and running with a little more attention on the Emails than here so I thought I'd post to let you all know that...... They'r Baaaaaack. We are planning for a meet date the weekend before memorial day. Typical sites for the meet are on the loop that has site 42 and vicinity. I have no doubt there will be plenty of new friends for anyone who wishes to attend and to you veterans you know what's up. We always have a great time and the fishing is amazing with Lk George's clear deep waters giving up Lakers to our trolling buddies and some fantastic smallies for the bassers. Lk Champlaing is home to greener waters with abundent large and small mouths pike and walleye...not to mention some nice cats we have fried up in the past. Reservations are made through Reserve America's website. If anyone wishes for additional info feel free to email me at Tilebykarl@hotmail.com and I'l will try to help. Tight lines all. Turtle |

Hello Karl, Thanks for the info as of now I plan on attending. But you got the wrong loop, it is the one with site # 30 in it. I hope to see you there. |

NICE TRY TURTLE!!! You tried to keep me off your site, but I got on today,so now your in trouble. You are trying to steal my Meet. I was thinking about not coming up this year, but now I WILL BE THERE. This is a warning!! I will be packing a pair of "YUM YUM's" when I get to your site. Who all is coming this year as I would like to verbally abuse everyone this year. Wellsley Try not to burn down the "Wind Chill" this year. Later PA (troller) |

I plan on being there. Probably just for Saturday, same as last year. John (Pappy) has offered me a spot in his boat again this year. I sure hope Patrick can make it. There are only 3 of us "originals" left. The "Golden Years" are not treating me as well as I'd like. The Gold has turned to more browns and yellows. So, we make the best of what time we have left. And to PA John, I see you havent changed a bit. Just as mean as ever. Take care, ROBBIE |

I'll have to stay in town. My body just cant take the camping scene anymore. The problem with staying in town is that it limits my time visiting with the rest of you guys. Wayne and Tony wont be there. I sold my boat last year and have to depend on others for a spot on their boat. They would like to attend, but it would be asking too much to expect to get them all on some ones boat. I'll probably show up at the campground Friday evening to visit with everybody, then fish with John on Saturday. ROBBIE |

Yeah...the loop with site 30! Thats what I mean. See what happens when ya try. My Pop always said the only people who don't make make mistakes are the ones who arnt tryin to do anything. Hehe.. Crap it dun happend and I'm sounding like him. sorry about the error. I will gladly laugh at anyone who needs a refund of the amount it costs to change the reservation on the Reserve america site...those people are nuts with the fees. I can't believe they let you on the board PA... I paid that webmaster good to keep ya off. start fattining up the mule. I can run three in the boat, she's small but I did it with Wildman and his dad and had a great time at Lac C. Let me kow if you'd like to head out and Denise and I can leave some of the way to much gear behind. We'd love to haul a few in with you if you are lookin to head on the water. Good to hear you're both coming out Wellesley...and Robbie. I do the Bisquit Dinner about every other year so we'd be glad to join ya'll again this year. Guides are getting straightened, lines are getting changes, flies are geetting tied....all systems GO... |

Hey Wellsley! I represent that remark.I just got cleared to take off work that week in May. I will be getting a site this week and Mr.Turtle I would like to fish a bit with you and Denise. Robby I look forward to seeing you again this year and I hope Patrick can make it also. Like you said only 3 originals left and yes the years are taking their toll on us. Now with the expense of gas and everything else it starts me to thinking if the trip up is worth it. I guess it is . I will be there around noon on friday and will be leaving on Tuesday. I look forward to seeing everyone. |

Anyone wishing to fish Lake George you must get a boat permit. Here is the link. Just print out the form, fill it out and mail it in with payment. Starts March 15th. http://www.lgpc.state.ny.us/pdf/BoatApp.pdf |

Hi everyone, still looking good for attending this years meet and it's only a little over one month away. The weather has cooled down quite abit in the last month with nights below freezing. I expect PA will be leaving soon so he and his mule will get there on time. I hope as many members can make it as posible. Rogers rock and lake George is a very beautiful area. Has anyone heard for Dennis, his launch hasn't been used in a few years. |

Yumlin's, Ice cream, BBQ ribs, LM bass, trout, crappie, pike, fireside BS, tentin with my lady, HOT peppers (I gotta remember that "Pure Cap" this trip. 500'000 units of searing endorphin rush), the view of the lake outside the tent window, new lures to try, the newly fixed choke on the outboard, laughs, PA 's mule snorin', that smaliie BAM .... ahhh all will be right in the world VERY VERY SOON!!!! Can't wait to see ya'll again. Does anyone know if Champlaign is low water this year...Ive been waitin every year for another low water bushwack in the boat to the creek for some buzzbaiting. Only seen it like that once in the 9 or 10 yrs Ive been up. That was the year Josh Turner came out from VA. Last two years was all Lk G for us. I need a trip to the fort! Be good to see you again Wellesley. You too Robbie.....I guess PA and the mule as well.... Turtle |

Hi Turtle, Lake Champain is currently at 96'73 above sea level and on the rise. The lowest it has ever been is 92'60 in 1902. It is no where near as high as it was last year. The average for mid may is 98'00, so it is certainly down. Be good to see you and Denise in a couple weeks. |

I didnt mean to start a big issue here. I use Accuweather and 24 hours ago they predicted 5 days of rain. Today, they say partly sunny Friday and Saturday---rain for Sunday. So, it's looking up. We all know they cant even predict tomorrows weather accurately. Waiting to see you guys again. Robbie |

Hey Guys & Gals, Sorry to say there is no way I can make it this year. Heck! I haven't even had time to get on this site. With the new promotion and added responsibilities I have way too much work. I am currently working 12-14 hour days and am responsible fornumerous new undertakings. There isn't much that could keep me away from this as I've made it 14 years in a row and it pains me so much to miss it and all of you. Gotta feed the family though. Bright spot in the last year is that Erik is now a PA state trooper so it looks like the mule has an out when PA gets pulled over. Don't know about PA though just the mule. You know animal cruelty and all that. Will really miss you guys and hope you have great fishing and great weather. I'll be there next year for sure as many of the programs that I have implemented will be well inplace by then. It's so sad though I haven't even opened my boat yet. All I can say is retirement gets closer every day and then it's fishing whenever I please. Robbie, hope those golden years hold up for me. I truly understand what you're saying. Maybe even Erik can make it back next year as he'll have a little time in under his belt. Send me an email and let me know how all went. Good luck all! Keep your drags loose... |

Congrats on your promotion Pat!!! It's gotta be full tilt to keep you away. I'll try to pick up the slack, with you away the cooler will need a lil help if it's to go home empty. I may even have to brig a six of the SP girl to be sure there is one around the fire. Send my congrats to Eric also. Glad you could find a second to drop in. Just got back. The weather was perfect. The lakes were flat and the wind was calm. The fish for atleast Sue and I weren't biting. Pappy got a couple 6lb bass and a bunch of northern's. Ran into fishing-eagle on lake george he had 2 in the box and boated 7 lakers, he said he was skunked of champlain the day before. Sue and I caught one fish each day. Water temp on champlain was 66 and on george 54. Pappy showed up with his nephew and a guy from work. Weldon showed up 5 minutes after Sue and I. Turtle and Denise came in thursday night. Robbie stopped by Friday night and left a note to meet at the TI ramp Saturday. Not sure when Pa John showed up he was sleeping saturday when I stopped by. Sue and I camped over by the ramp more room for both camper and boat. Plus great view of the lake. Bill and Sally were suppose to come but weren't there when I left. No Rick he canceled. Most were going home Tuesday. So I hope the good weather continues and the fish start biting. |

We have now held our NAFC NorthEast Meet 13 years in a row and I think the weather this year was the best we have ever had. We usually have rain and cold. This year was sunny and warm every day. The lake conditions were great too. Lake level was perfect, down about 6 feet from the flooding we experienced last year. Lake was perfectly flat, unusual for Lake Champlain. It was great seeing Pappy, PA John, Weldon, and Carl again and also meeting the new guys whose names I cant remember. The only downer to this years meet was that Patrick couldn;t make it. Patrick has been with us from the beginning and was really missed. Maybe next year. Oh, yes, the fishing was fantastic too, lots of smallmouth bass and Northern Pike. I'm already looking forward to next year. ROBBIE |
