    From what I've heard from everyone over the years Seneca Lake is OK with everyone!! That said it will be at Seneca Lake untill someone else takes over the planning. There has been some talk of changing the time it is held because of school makin it harder for folks to come the whole week.
     

    So when do you ALL want to have it.


    If no intrest in changing it would be the 14th,15th,16th  ( Friday,Saturday , Sunday ) of September.

    Thanks for posting Ed. Looking at my schedule I won't be able to make the whole week. But hopefully I can make more than just the weekend. The 14th on is just fine.

    If you stick with these dates then I'll be there the 9th thru the 16th. I forgot to check-in at the camp office while I was up this last time, is the contact number the same for reservations?

    Done !!  I think we will just stay with what we've done for the past 7 years. It's easy for me holding it at sunsetonseneca. If someone want a differnt date that will also be a differnt meet.

    Pete # is the same BUT you may be talking to a machine so leave a message and he should get back to you.........IF not let me know and I work it out for you or anyone having a problem...........

    The plan as of now is to roll in Thursday. Not sure what time. It's going to depend on Sue's schedule. We will leave late Sunday unless the weather is lousy, then it would be earlier.

    Frank glad to hear that you and Sue can are coming to the meeting with Pete!!Just can't wait to have Pete sleeping close by.Being that you and Pete got your share of those beans I am bringing my own bowl for them. BIG BOWL!! I have a some time to make sure Im. ready for Pete. I can see it is going to be a hoot. No not the guy on the hill that suffered fishing with the three Amgos!!! Right now I guess Dave Jr and son are coming .Might be a few more of the family coming as well. Stay Safe .

    Looking forward to the meet as I do every year.I ordered some NAGA BHUT JOLOKIA POWER FOR YOUR BEANS PETE that will slow u down eating them !!I can't wait to get up before you Pete and have a nice cup of coffee waiting when u come out of your tent. I want to serve u the best but as u know us farmers don't make alt of money so at times if u can't afford things ya have to make it your self.So being I have been putting fish oil on coffee beans trying to get the wifes cat to eat them.want to give u a cup of KOPI LUWAK but can't afford it so try to make it cheaper just for you. I LOVES YA PETE!!!

    All kidding aside Pete hope u can spend some time on our boat so we can try to find some pike. havent. heard of any catching any yet but like to give it a go. If we can't get some on that lake we Will head for the other lake.

    When I was up at the three Amigos, Ed and I were talking to a couple of guys in a tackle shop, and they told me that they were catching pike in the 24" size...It sounds like whatever was killing off the Pike only affected the bigger ones?

    I am looking forward to seeing your new boat! BTW, dose Nancy know your playing on the computer???? I don't want ta see ya gettin' into trouble, LOL!

    Pete said he was having trouble getting his site booked and would get back to me on that.

    The contact number for reservations is: 1-607-582-6030. It works, I just got off the phone with the owner. My reservation is in for Sept. 9 to Sept. 16. Tent camping is $25 / night. In past years if you stayed the full week you got one night free, but I don't think so this year with this new owner.

    Ed, I sent a message to Weldon on Facebook and I'll let you know as soon as he answers me, if he answers me!

    Pie & sweet corn...! I could bring some hot dogs for around the campfire. How about a pizza day?

    At best I will be coming thursday night the 13th, worst case we would be coming up Friday. Sue is getting grief at work for taking time off. She isn't going to know for some time for sure. So as far as meals go don't count on us until saturday.

    Can't wait to see every one at the meet.Having a hard time getting up to the camp this year but no matter what is going on we will be there..PETE STILL HAVING PROBLEMS GETTING THE CAT TO EAT THE COFFEE beans but will keep trying. Going to bring something in a cage to turn loose in your tent. I can hear ya now !! YES SIR TIME FOR SOME FUN.

    My son took the "Bushwacker" to W.Va. for her shake-down run and she did just great.

    The new trolling motor worked well in the manual mode, but we must take her out to put her through the paces in auto mode, using the GPS system as well.

    There was room in the exsisting battery compartment. I just needed another mount. The trolling motor comes with the sonar unit built onto the motor housing. It only took an adapter to hook it up to my forward fish finder. The new trolling motor (entire set-up) takes up less room than the old one. We did a better job of mounting the new one VS the old one. In the next week or so I want to take the tarp in and have it re-stiched (over 5 years...it's due).

    Well Sue won't be able to get the time off this year. So we talked about it and I have decided to come up Thursday with the boat. I tried to make reservations today got the anwsering machine and left a message. I was surprised to hear MO's voice on the machine guess they didn't change the message. If I don't get a call back I'll try again. Do we have a list yet of those that plan on attending?

    I got a e-mail from merlin ( Ed and Maude ) they will be getting there Sunday 16th and staying thru thursday ......so if any of you can extend your stay or come a little later and stay later that would be great........if not I already told them I would be around...............

    Four days and a wake-up! Woo wee! I have checked out my camping equipment and it looks good to go. My camp kitchen needs some items yet, but I still need to go shopping. I picked up 2# of beef sticks, some summer sausage and I put an order in for "apple sausage" (5#) to be picked up Thursday which I know ole pie face hates, lol! I'll need a case of water and a 12 pack of Dr. Pepper! BTW, I'll also pick up a 50# bag of dog food and a big dish to put it in for the "sod buster", Nancy can sit at the table with the rest of us, lol!

    The "Bushwacker is ready. Just putting a final charge on the rear battery. I had to re-mount the center seat today...I just discovered the screws weren't holding on to anything!

    One more day and a wake-up, woo wee!!! I'll be on the road come Sunday morning at 10:00 am. I talked to Canepole last evening and he said he will be there Tuesday morning.

    I got to camp yesterday about 5ish...........BSed with Hoot he will be coming back down Wensday eve.......tyried talking him into coming earlier........     I resemble that remark....All I have to pack is my suit case and the cooler, which I'll do in the morning. And we're now getting the rain from that cold front that's moving to the east. It should bring us some nice weather for fishing & camping! Just a wake-up for me now!

    rule 1 tie the old dog to a tree since he can't do new tricks. rule 2 ain't buying expensive dog food, will have skinny dog.That big bowl will be empty Carol has to work and there will be no beans. rule 3 ifin dat dog bites put muzzle on it.     I quick post this POS site has been down since Pete and I got back in off the water................. I posted this over on the oHIo NAFC site :

    Well the NAFC web site is DOWN seems like the same deal last year when the meet was going on..................anyway Pete and I got out this morning in VERY lumpy water picked up three small browns and lost two or three ??? whatevers.................Kinger boy ( the dog ) I think got seasick he don't like ruff water......LOL.......we came back in and got a GOOD meal , pork tender loin steaks , some of Pete famous apple sasage and Carols posta salad.............he went down for a nappy and I just tore the AP off the steering it was getting too hard to steer had a heck of a time brining it back in today going into heavy wind with ways 3 to 4 feet getting TWO 4'ers back to back and a small hole to steer thru that half the time I would miss because of the steering anyway it's still not a 100% but 65% better than it was.....................

    Love pork tenderloins!  Have fun eating and fishing today!  I have to work this morning .   But it makes me happy because I am making unexpected money back to help pay for all of the lobster that I ate while in Maine 2 weeks ago!

    I had Tom cut the gills to bleed it out before we put it on ice , he cut a TAD low............. I guess you missed the last part of my post below the pictures.......Pete was at camp taking his NAPPY and he is the owner of the "TIE" so it was with him........by the time we got back in it was dark and just took care of the boat and Tom cleaned and vacume packed the fish..................

    Well I never saw so many grape pies. Tom found someone to make two grape pies with crumb topping mmm mmm good. After we finished eating the pies, Ed goes in and brings out 4 more. Just for **** and giggles I asked what kind they were and Carol says one of them is grape. Well I just had to try it. Oh my!!! OMG!!!! it was sooooo good. Lets just say they''''''''''re wasn't much left. I think we're going to have to change the name of the meet to the pie meet. On other note Osharpsaw behaved himself and didn't walk off with all of Carol's famous baked beans. (I think Nancy must have threaten to beat him) We were treated to finally meet Mrs. Hoot. I don't know how he was able to find such a nice Lady.(he must have been differant in his younger years) The last thing for now is THANK YOU CAROL & ED your hospitality. Every thing was great.

    Ps: Anyone who has not been to this meet should do all they can to get there.

    Hoot and I got out today went 7 for 7 , 5 rainbows , 1 small laker and a small brown……….boxed 4 bows 17” , 18” , 20 “ and 24.25” 6# 3oz……..

    Put them in brown sugar for the meal at the FLM they were GREAT……..

    I was home by 4:30p on Sunday. Took longer for the tent to dry out this time! As I was ready to jump in the car, ole Frank shows up with a very nice brown! Thanks Frank, for giving me the fish! It will soon be in the smoker! I didn't fish much this year, I had some sinus issues that kinda drug me down...That said, I would like to say that it was another super meet! Thanks to Ed & Carol for all that you do to make this meet what it is!

    Ed and Maude showed up on Sunday and today Ed , Kinger and I got out for a NICE trip crazy wind but :::::

    Kinger and I got out with Merlin (Ed) from the NAFC today about 8ish……….we went 7 for 8 with a grand slam BUT only two were legal size………3 bows , 2 landlocks a brown and a laker…………. We had a good bite going then the wind switched and came out of the west and my Ole tin-lizzy kinda slipps and I get a bad cable angle so………….we went over to the west side much better but only did a laker in 3miles………..
    this rainbow went 6.5# big head and a humpback ......we put ALL fish back today and the BOGO grip did a fine job on the bow , we just released the rest in the water being we were not taking any pictures of them........

    This was the FIRST fish we hooked up with !!!!!

    Ed, Thank you,   Thank you for all you do to make this such a great time!!  From the first night to the last you made me feel welcomed,  from the fishing to the food it was Great,

    Frank, Thank you for getting me out in your boat,  sure was good too see you again!

    To anyone out there wondering about going to a Meet, I can't say enough about them, the Members that you meet there will become friends for life, each meet I've been to,, Gwinn, Finger lakes, or La Crosse,  each has created such special memories, Fishing yes,, but it is about the people  that make each and every one special, And to all of my Friends out there from the Meets New and Old,  I want to say Thank You for being there and making it a Great Time!!

    I am glad you enjoyed your self, Tom! As you said, you make friendships at these meets that last a life time..I'll see ya at LaCrosse in 2013! Frank, Susan, Celest, Dave, Nancy, Hoot, Ed and Carol, it sure was nice getting together again! These member meets mean a lot to me...but it's mostly the friendships that are made...Stay well, friends!
