Jim, Found this link http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/p...bsp; like I said I don't have powerpoint on my computer so I have no way of knowing if it works and what kind of quality, or size a pdf file would look like. Take care see you soon "Friends are GOD's way of showing us that we don't have to fish alone" "Take a child fishing"

Pete... I took a look around the Photobucket site and found this... Photobucket files supported... http://photobucket.com/faq?catID=29&catSelected=f&topicID=322 Images - gif, jpg, jpeg, png, bmp. Photobucket converts bmp files, which are not appropriate for the Internet, to jpg files, which are. Note: The Image Editor does not retain the animation in animated .gif files. Videos - 3g2, 3gp, 3gp2, 3gpp, 3p, asf, avi, divx, dv, dvx, flv, gif, moov, mov, mp4, mpeg4, mpg4, mpe, mpeg, mpg, qt, wmv, xvid, rm. All video files are converted to Flash Video (flv) format when you upload them. swf - SWF file uploads are limited to Pro account holders. SWF files must be 10MB or less, and can only be uploaded through the Image & Video Uploader, the old Photobucket image uploader, or via FTP. If you want to upload SWF files into your Photobucket album, we recommend that you upgrade to a Pro account. So I did a search for converting a ppt to an flv... http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=convert+a+ppt+to+flv I found this... http://ppt-to-flv.downloadsoftware4free.com/ There's lots of ways to convert files these days...some of the software is even free Life Member David BB Linkmeister

No clue if this is still going on, but just save the image (if a picture) as a JPEG samllest form and upload. You can compress the PP (Power Point) in a zip or similar size. The key is size the smaller the faster it will load. If you want you can take a PP and turn it into a JPEG,GIF, or any other format. However each slide will become its own image. |

Hi Mike--Thanks for the offer to help. I really don't know what I am doing wrong. I am in the process of uploading stuff into anew faster computer. Because of some quirks, I had trouble getting some pictures in there. (OK now)Now I need to upload them to Photo Bucket. After that is where I run into trouble What URL do I use to get pix to the Avatar and into the other areas??? I want to build a Siggy and pix so that I don't have to retype every time!! I'm just a hardheaded ol" fart wid no computer skills. Still have ta count on my finger and toes!! LOL HeHeHe!____________ Bill J. |

Lets do them one at a time Bill so anyone reading this don`t get to confused. To get your avatar up use the direct link from P/bucket. Since the site has fixed the avatar sizes you don`t have to resize them or anything, the site does it for you. If you left click on the direct link addy in p/bucket it copies it, then in your avatar url box here, left click in the box so your curser is there, right click and from the options that come up left click paste. You should see the addy in the box now. Make sure you hit save at the bottom of the page and your avatar should be up.

WTG Bill !!!!!! For your avatar you can copy and paste in the HTML code from P/bucket into your Forum siggy in your account, but be warned, if you do that it creates a link to your p/bucket account. If you choose to do that make your P/bucket account private. You can also use the Direct Link from P/bucket for your siggy. Thats what I use. The only catch is it must be used with some simple HTML to work. <center><img src="*"></center> This little code I put above, when used with the Direct Link from P/bucket will center your image in your siggy and does not create a link. Copy and paste this code into your siggy and then copy and paste the Direct Link into the code at the red * and remove the *. Here is an example of one I helped James with. Click here. Play with it, there`s lots of possibilities.
