Good question I started one under "Ask the Editors" but we haven't gotten a answer from them.Beginning to doubt if we will.

Hi Everyone, The old chat room was run by a third party we used to work with for the websites.  Since we’ve changed over to the new site we have not officially had a chat room.  Because a chat room is so popular we are going to try a new one.  You can access it by going here http://www.fishingclub.com/club/Def...278.  If it is successful we may eventually put a link to it on the website.

 

You’ll automatically log in as a guest to the chat room.  Click on the username you’ve been assigned in the lower left corner to edit it.  On the right hand side you’ll be able to see everyone that is in the room.

 

I know there are a few other threads about the chat room that I'm going to try and find to add this link, but please feel free to share this link with other members.

Thanks for the room!  If I may, I have a couple of questions....Is it possible to have a full screen for texting?  Is it possible to change the text size for us older folks that can't see the small print, lol!  And when there are several folks in the room, different colors for font would go a long way to making it easier to keep track of conversations - who said what!

Again, thanks for providing a new chat room.  I look forward to meeting fellow members in real time for good conversation!

Yes, I agree with Turnip on this one!  Was in last night with 4/5 other members and the text WAS hard to read because of the size.  Also the video player screen should be moved if possible.  It was super to be able to talk to the members again in "real time".  Thanks for putting the link up.  Let's hope that enough members take advantage of this so it becomes permanent.

I went to chat-room, I couldn't find how to log-off???...Just went back to check sumthin', I guess that when you exit chat-rm. you get logged-off automatically, 'cause it doesn't show me on anymore*,  "Take Care", L8r. James,"VATO LOCO"<;({})><

I don't even get a blank screen. When I click on the link it's kind of like being stuck in the mud. My computer says it's waiting on the chat room address, but it never comes up. I've let it run for about five minutes a couple of times and it still doesn't connect.

 

I even tried typing the address into my web browser, the search came back saying the address wasn't found.

I'm running Vista Home Premium, Windows Explorer 7, and DSL

Any suggestions ??

Dave and Fred---What link are you using? The one in E-rabbits post above took me right in>> Then follow the directions and should work(?) Let us know. I used my addy from here and it works fine. Good Luck.-----Bill J.

The link worked for me. Although I was the only one in there, the again it is quarter after eleven at night.

I was in there last night around 8PM and no one was home??  If this keeps up we may end up losing it once again.

I've put a "Chat Room Holler" Topic in Misc....in an effort to help folks connect in Chat.

 

If you Log On to the Forums....stop by there and make a Post to that Topic before getting into Chat.

 

That way....if someone is cruising the Forums and looking for a Chat...at least at that point you can tell if anyone is around.

Dave, YES  I'm logged in to the regular forums. I literally scrolled up to ERABBIT'S post and clicked on the link.

When that didn't work, I logged out of the NAFC site a type the address into my web browser's search. The search said the address wasn't found.

Dave D I read where you had IE8 and are now back on IE7 so maybe all you have to do is dump the old cookies!!!!! Not sure but worth a shot !!!!

I was able to get in tonight, I went in without logging in to the NAFC site.

R-t----Sounds strange? What did you use to get in the 1st time?. It may be the same kind of deal as when we lost our Avatars and had to redo everything! I would work on that angle and if that don't work try to get in touch with Pete--the Webbie. Maybe he can help. He also posted that if there were any ??'s to check the FAQ area!
