I see a lot of replies on this and other forums that take someone else's post and  add it to your own reply.   it says...

          user's name wrote:

whatever was written, or selected portion of,  by another will show up in a colored box.   Then you can add your reply to their quote.

I tried copy/paste but it does not 'frame' it as I described above.  Thanks.

    Geez...thanks Lou

Here's what you do to COPY a quote from one Topic and add it to a post in a different Topic.

Step 1. Click the "QUOTE" button on the POST that you want to quote and then put your cursor at the "spot" as shown in the pic below (Item #1 in the pic).

Step 2. Holding your LEFT mouse button down at that point....then move / "drag" the Cursor to the lower right of the post...and it will then "highlight" in black as shown in the pic.

Step 3. Click the little "2 sheet" Icon as shown in the (Item #2 in the pic) position. This is the "Copy" icon on the toolbar...and you will probably get a small "popup" window that says "Allow Access" (Yes).

Step 4. Click on the Member Forums (Item #3 in the pic) and go and find the Topic / Post that you want to copy the "Quote Item" to.

Next steps are not in my pic...

Step 5. Once you've found the Topic / Post that you want to post the quote in....click the "Reply" button...then "Right Click"...then click on Paste.

Hope ya'all can work through this

I'll be the 1st to agree that tidal rivers are more complex than regular rivers...and I'm sure Steve has some good info on his website about the topic (he's always posted good stuff on here too).

At the same time....if the rivers you are fishing sedge68 are NOT tidal rivers....I have a Word document version of the "River Fishing" topic we used to have on here in Member Tips....and there's a good 30 folks that contributed to that....and it addresses MANY situations.

If you'd like a copy of it....PM me your email addy and I'll send it to you.
