Can anyone tell me where to find instructions on using Photobucket? I can find info on uploading to Photo, but no info on how to post a pic to the club site. I can,t even get a photo to open the way Daveset shows in his post. Tom

Do you already have pics in your photobucket account? If so, this is what I do. I have a window open for this site, and another one for photobucket. Then I just right click, and copy from the photobucket page, and right click and paste on this page. I'm sure there is an easier way to do it, but this works for me. Hope this helps some.

After hours of trial and error, I found a way to resize pics using Microsoft PictureIt. It's a bit easier than Photobucket as I don't need a window open for the pics, they store under My Pictures with a "web" tag applied. Now I just have to figure out how to post the pic instead of the link. I'll get it sooner or later. Tom

Tom, don't know if this will work for you, but it may be worth a shot.

Once you have your link in your post, click on it to open it, right click to copy. Then go to "edit" your post. Right click and paste.

Thanks, Dave, but as you can see I figured it out. It seems to be a timing thing, put a step out of order and your done. Tom

It is rare when I use Photobucket on this site, only for older pics.  I re-size on my hard drive and then post them up while I am making the original post, removing the link from the post.

    Example:

If you notice, the link for the attachment is not there (usually found on the lower left hand side of the post).  It gives you the option in the attachment window. Then I do a copy & paste similar to what Dave is saying except I don't use Photobucket AND I copy & past before I remove the link.  I hope this helps ya out, Tom.

I tried Photobucket but I couldn't get my pics resized right then I just started using windows paint to resize my pics, then I attached them staight from my computer. For my Avatar pic I went to an old post (so i wouldn't create a new post just for a pic)and edited it attaching my pic then I copy and pasted the URL from the attachment window to my profile. The club creates a URL for any pics you attach to a post.Basically I used the clubs site kind of like photobucket.

Tom, I learned a long time ago that it is wayyyyy easier to size your pics before up-loading to Photobucket...I use "Paint" to open the pic and resize.  I hope this helps!

Turnip: I resize my pics with PictureIt and store a 'web ready' copy. Before the changes, all I had to do was attatch them. Now it seems I will have to go through Photobucket. Just seems like an unneccesary step. Tom

Ya, that's the way it was before the site changed in 2007.  It has only been recent history that it changed to directly accessing your hard drive...I always felt it a bad idea to use download provider...

Photobucket is a hosting site. When you put a pic on here from photobucket your not using up bandwidth from the NAFC site, it uses bandwidth from photobucket. Does this make any sense?
