1. Find the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard and press it.

2. Open up the Paint program by following the steps in this next pic...

3. Click Edit, Then Paste as shown in this next pic.

Now you should have picture there of what was showing on your computer monitor. There is a little blue dot at 3 different parts of the pic (circled in Red on this next pic). You can use these to change the right and bottom edges of the picture.

There are also other tools to use...the best ones will pop up if you click on the word "Image" at the top.

There is also a Toolbar on the left hand side...and a color "choice" bar at the bottom.

When you are done, click on File then Save As...and decide where you want to save the pic to. I always save as a "JPG" type file (like this).

I'm looking for this 'print screen' button but can't find it at the moment.  Must be my goofy keyboard or my old eyes.  I'm sure I'll find it.

Looks like my button says 'prt sc' on it. Must me a secondary function.

SB...sorry to hear that the keyboard wasn't as I described. I should have mentioned that sometimes keys are labeled differently by various companies.

Another trick with this is that if you the CTRL and Alt and Print Screen buttons all at the same time...the only thing that will be copied to the Clipboard is whatever "window" has the "dark" color on it.

In other words....IF I was to the point in the last pic of mine above (with the Save As window highlighted)...and then pressed those 3 keys all at the same time...the ONLY thing that would show up when I click on Edit and Paste (with the Paint program open)....would be the Save As window. You wouldn't see ANY of the other stuff that was on the Desktop.
