Six days ago, it was 82 degrees. Today, it's snowing here in Western Illinois. I think that's going to affect my crappie fishing!!

I'm right there with you in Central IN. We didn't get the snow from that last front that passed, only mild thunderstorms, but there was a -20 degree drop in the air temps.
Last spring it got hot fast and stayed hot long so the spawn was a little earlier around here than the year before.

I don't know what will happen with this year's crappie spawn. Seems they are already staging but I have yet to see water temps where I would expect the spawn to start. Maybe the weather will keep them close to shore for a while. Many of the places I fish for crappie don't allow boats so shore is it! Once they go deep you can't get to them. Tom
