I had a small accident this last time out ice-fishing.  My kid brother left the heater on and I didn't catch it until it was too late; 45 mins later.  I now have two holes melted through the plastic and wondering if anybody knows of an easy or practical way of fixing it.     Thanks

i take it the holes may be in the sides?you can smooth the holes and use a fiberglass repair kit to patch them, then coat with a good black primer to help waterproof some more.can also find some plastic of the same thickness and cut a piece a couple inches bigger then the holes, put some silicone sealer around the holes and on the edges of the patch and place over holes, then drill several 1/8" holes about 1-2 in. apart and pop-rivet it to the sled.for a better -tighter seal place small washers on inside over rivots.if the holes are in the bottom the same can be done as above with fiberglass but,on the plastic patch must go on the inside with the rivots coming from the bottom up then fill outside with bondo, smooth and paint.

A good source for the plastic might be one of those cheapo sleds they sell for kids even if you have to double it. Tom
