Greetings all!
Once again, it's almost the first of June, and me and my buddies are about to take off on our 4th Annual Memorial Fishing Trip for a week to honor our fallen friend.
The past 3 years, we have fished the White Mountains exclusively. We were kicking around the idea of another place like San Carlos or Roosevelt, but I hear it's frikkin' HOT up there this time of year. We'd like to fish for some different species and still love the White Mns. so I came across Fool Hollow Lake outside of Show Low. It's got bass, trout, walleye, pike, cats, crappie, and a few others. Anyone got a line on this lake? How's the fishing there? And do the campgrounds get crowded this time of year? It looks like a great spot to fish but we don't want to be too "crowded" with a ton of people and kids. It's also a long drive for us, and we don't want to get there and realize it's full, and unfortunately they don't take campground reservations.
Also, if anyone has a better lake to suggest, please do! We are looking for an area that's in the pines where it's a little cooler than down south, and want to try to catch a few different types of fish.
Thanks for the input fellow anglers.....Fish on!
