My husband and I had an awesome day of fishing at Arivaca Lake on 6/27/09. We caught ( 2-3 lbs at 13-16in and also got the motherlode catch of the day, 24.5in Large Mouth Bass unknown of actual wieght but felt at least 11lbs. This is not a normal catch for this lake. see the attached pics of the awesome catch.

Just out of curiosity, what bait were you using and what time of day? Someone told me bass are hitting topwater in the evening at arivaca right now.

We were using sinkos, black and silever, and they were also biting on the watermelons and bubble gums. We have definitely noticed the cloudier the day the best. They were jumping out of the water all around us. Once the sun came out for too long, nothing. Othere friends that go out there usually go out in the later part of the day do very well.
