went to Alamo lake this past weekend caught 6 bass and one crappi shad color crank baits for the bass and minnow for the crappi 3 of the bass were caught in the rain there closing the lake this year so need to fish there as much as possible

my wife & i were just talking today about going fishing at alamo lake ! does anyone know how long it is going to be closed ?

Alamo has been saved from closure MofG. I've never been there but maybe in the fall when it's cooled down. It's so fat that the fuel expense prevents my going there. Pleasant is so close that it's affordable for me.

bass or bass ? if you ever get the chance to go to alamo i think you will be pleased.  my wife and i went there once and i agree with you it is very far from where you & i live, however i is a beautiful lake and great fishing. I have to tell you though i sounded like a little kid constantly asking my wife are we there yet ?  so if you get a chance i would recomend that you go to alamo !
