I'm headed to Lake Pleasant next Friday to do some striper fishing as they seem to be peaking now. Planning on arriving at the lake at first light and fish for largemouth and channels during the day, then switch to striper  and channel fishing at dusk and fish overnight, finishing the trip by largemouth fishing Saturday morning untill it gets hot ( about 9 a.m. now). I'll post results afterward.

sure would like to get a report. im in glendale and finally got boat ready. need to feel a big one on my line.

i didnt get ur post till too late and went to willow springs. my number is 623 640 6960. give me a call and we can plan to meet sometime. my boat is only 12 foot but that means i can go anywhere. electric and 15 horse johnson. i just got depressed to find out i missed out. i would love to do an overnight to do some night fishing too. i have camping gear and everything. im doing a 3 night trip to willow springs first week of august.

Well, at about 6:00pm a monsoon storm hit with wind like a brick wall. Almost instant waves at 2 to 3 feet with whitecaps. I headed across the lake for the ramp as best I could with waves  occasionally breaking over my bow soaking everything in the boat. I will say I was a bit concerned. If my motor had stalled I would have been in serious trouble . Got help loading my boat at the ramp. I probably could have waited it out and still gotten my fishing in, but I was alone this trip and was a bit spooked and decided to just call it a good escape and headed home.

It's a 16' Glastron Sportster with 80 hp Evinrude. The open bow just lest the waves roll in though. I'm staying off the main lake from now on and staying on the river or the sheltered coves. At least during our monsoon storm season from late June through September.
