Hi, I'm Scott and I'm a fishaholic. ("Hi, Scott."). I live in Central CA in the small town of Lemoore. I fish for the following species: bass about 55%, trout about 30%, ocean species about 5%, stripers about 5% and all others (salmon, panfish, etc) about 5%. I have a bass boat and a camper and have traveled up to 7 hours to fish (Clear Lake bass). I fish around 12 different lakes and rivers within 2 hours of my home. My wife and daughter both enjoy fishing and camping as well. |

I'm over 50 years old and have been fishing since I was 5 (my grandfather and uncle were both charter boat captains in the Chesapeake Bay), so I guess fishing really is in my blood, ha ha. I've worked in the fishing tackle industry for over 20 years here in Orange County, California and started my own business 3 years ago hand-pouring plastic baits. If you have any questions about plastic bait fishing, or just want a fishing partner sometime, don't hesitate to ask (but I don't know everything). Feel free to visit our web-site at www.DesignerLures.com and try the techniques listed that have worked for me. I'm looking forward to chatting with you all.
Thanks,

Hey Chris, I'll get you added to the California list. Be sure to check out the California Chapter thread and add your input on a future NAFC California Chapter Meet. If you have any friends that are NAFC members, make sure you tell them to get on here and register and help out getting a fishing meet set up. Have a good one from BigDog... <!--graemlin::cool:--> |

Hi edram, glad you checked in. Have your friends Tyler and Thom check in so we can get them added to the California Members List, then have them check out the California Chapter Thread as well and add their input if they'd be interested in getting together sometime for a California Meet... <!--graemlin:;)--> |

My name is Leonard.. and I too am a fishaholic. I live in the Bay Area, San Leandro to be exact. So close to any salt or freshwater fishing, I pack gear in my car for those need the fix impulses. I can't say I'm a pro, but it's nice to have Charter captains ask that I come along to help the customers catch fish. I pour my own weights, make my own rods, nets and lures.. In fact, my lure works so well, I have a patent on it. I like tinkering with reels, switching out gears, drags and bearings to get more potential out of them. Would you believe I can catch Tuna with a supped up Abu.
D.L. Steve.. you got any reliable source for CAD and injection mold |

Not anywhere close to being a pro, just enjoy the outdoors and having fun. I have been the the United States Air Force for 19 1/2 years, 39 yoa and living in Palmdale. Not stationed at a base but like I said, live in Palmdale and work in Encino. I don't know to many people out here or any good fishing spots, so hopefully this will help. |

Welcome to the list, hope you'll be able to make the No. Cal. dinner, lunch, fishing trip whatever you all decide ha ha.
Sorry, no contacts for CAD and injection molds. Do you have a web-site for the things you make? Would love to see it.

As far as the type of fishing I do, mostly bass but I don't have a preferance, I will fish for anything in any waters, the problem is not catching anything. I should be heading down to San Diego for a tuna trip with some buddies if all works out. Sorry about the 5th and 6th, I would have loved to have gone, fly fishing is one thing I have never done and willing to learn if you have the patients. |

I live about 3 hours south of you in Lemoore. I have a bassboat and fish hard all spring and summer. But, I hunt hard all fall and winter. I love my waterfowl hunting and will be up there hunting geese north of Sacramento this winter with my wife, daughter and friends. You have some good fishing in the Sac Delta. Can't tell you much about it, but there are folks here that can help you with the Delta. |

Hi, better know as the Kid, I leave in Ventura California, and keep running into more and more members of the club. It would be nice to start putting salt water fishing trips together for the members, and have more say and notice in the magazine, than what California does now. I know that there are a lot of publications in California, but it would be really nice to have the members back East see more and more about what is happening in California. What about catch and release for California fishermen, other than bass. Mike Elder |

Hey there. My name is ronbo and I live in portola in plumas county. I fish for whatever is biting at the time. I have a float tube and it is my favorite way to fish. I do have a small 2 man pontoon boat a pelican rhino with an eletric trolling motor but currently have no way to haul it. I am looking to find a fishing partner who dosn't mind geting there at the crack of dawn. I work for union pacific rail road and have a 8 day on 6 day off schedule. Favorite lakes: Almanor, Antelope, Eagle, Pyramid, Frenchman, and I hope soon again Davis.I know some very good spots and would like to trade a trip if you know some good crappy fishing spots.

But with gas Ihave had to cut way back on my trips. I have two boats and a float tube. get back with me maybe we can get together. Another good place is Roundvalley. Small but fun. |

Hello, I live in Livermore. Just moved out to CA a little over a year ago from MN. Thought I was good at fishing until I moved out here. Just bought a boat, usually fish on the delta near Frank's Tract. Anyone interested in coming out to show me how to catch a big fish, or a largemouth (or black bass as you call them) let me know. Am I the first from Bakersfield? Anyways i am 26 yrs old, from Bakersfield. I just moved back from Fairbanks, Alaska where i started fishing probably cause there aint anything else to do there and haven't stopped yet. Its kinda different fishing down here. I fished for King, Pink, and Silver Salmon, Arctic Char, Arctic Grayling, Trout and Northern Pike while in Alaska. I am having trouble fishing for Bass and Catfish here in the Kern River and Lake Isabella. I have only caught and released some very small cats. If anybody has any tips i would appreciate it. THANKS!!!! |

Howdy Ya'll, My name is Steve(A.K.A. TreeFrog), and I have been a North Bay resident most of my life. I am currently residing in beautiful Penngrove, CA. There is a wide variety of waters to fish, relatively near by. Heck, sometimes I just grab my gear, and take a short, to moderate hike to a local pond, lake, or(one of my favorite fishing spots) the Petaluma slough, where the stripers never fail to bite(given the season). You can also catch sturgeon, leapord sharks, sting ray, even save yourself some dough by catching your own live bait (bullheads, mudsuckers). Heck, one time I thought I had the striper of a lifetime, but it turned out to be a river otter. That otter surfaced and looked right at me before grabbing the hook and yanking it out of its own mouth, sending the hook shooting back right past my head. The otter was fine . Which is more than I could say for my hook. That thing almost took the bend completely out of the hook. I would see him surface a couple more times that afternoon harrassing the water fowl and chasing the stripers. I have also seen monster carp swimming through to spawn. Its absolutely amazing watching those fish thrash around on the gravel beds at low tide. My other favorite species to fish for are ofcourse the elusive largemouth bass, the feisty smallmouth, bluegill, crappie, trout, steelhead, and I cant forget, my nemesis, the catfish. On occasion, I enjoy crabbing as well, out at either tomales bay(great place for shark and ray fishing), or bodega bay. I am always looking for friendly, knowledgeable people to go fishing with, as long as they are respectful of the environment ("YOU PACK IT IN, YOU PACK IT OUT!!"). Nothing pisses me off more than a litter bug! Well, I think I have rambled on long enough. Before I go, let me just say how much I have enjoyed the NAFC! I am a new member, who is still trying to scrape up the money for his dues,(money has been super tight) but I know, "where there is a will, there is a way!" I hope to become a life member eventually (hopefully sooner than later). Thank you NAFC, and all of its members! PEACE, LOVE, and HAPPINESS!! -TreeFrog |

Hey, name is Kevin. I am getting back into fishing after a long layoff as my children are old enough to get into it now (girl 5 yrs, boy 3 yrs). I was spoiled by Alaskan fishing on Adak Island in mid-80's. Now I'm in the desert (El Centro) and it is difficult finding good spots or techniques. Normal Mid-West or Southern techniques don't seem to work, I think cuz water temps are so high. Anyway, it's nice to get out in Nature and give it a shot. I also ocean fish out of Pt. Loma landing on Daily Double and Mission belle. |

Afternoon. My name is Mark, but most people know me as Shoreman. I live in Volcano, California and fish the Sacramento, Highway 50, and Highway 88 corridors. I fish trout for the most part, but have been known to take a shot at shad now and then. I write my own blog to let others know the where, what I use, and how many I catch, in hopes that it will help others catch more fish. It also keeps the readers updated on where the fish are biting. You're all welcome to stop by at take a look. http://shoretroutfishing.blogspot.com/ Tight Lines Shoreman |

Greetings folks, I'm John and I'm a 51 year old teenager in Anderson, CA just south of Redding. I tend to do most of my fishing at Whiskeytown lake and Brandy Creek (feeds Whiskeytown). I fish for Bass, Trout, Bluegill, and anything else that'll hit for me....if it's landable, I'll catch it if I can! I'm brand new here, and having just gotten back into fishing after a 15 year hiatus, I'm always looking for advice! (have had some rough times the last few runs...lol) Nice to meet ya'll! |

Hi. I'm Everett...I go by Ev too.
I'm currently in the Navy at NAS Lemoore located in the middle of nowhere. I just transferred here June 8th and haven't gotten out much. Most of it has to do with a pending divorce, but that is a different story. It looks like there are some members here from Kings/Tulare/Fresno counties (somewhat local to the base) so maybe sometime we can get together and do some fishing. I enjoy fishing for trout and bass mostly, but when I was in Whidbey Island, WA I would fish for Salmon as well. Seeing as how hunting season just opened up my weekends will probably be spent stalking, but I'm always up to meet new people with common interests. Anything else I need to put on here?
The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good.

Hy, my name is Al Glad, and I joined November 2004, as a liftime member. I currently live in Clearlake,California, and fish about 5 to 8 times/mo.Biggest bass I have caught was approx. 5.2 pounds, and, boy, was it ever fun to get her in the boat. I belong to the Clearlake Bassmasters ,and have been for four months now,and am enjoying meeting new fishermen and women with the same goal as mine(learning how to fish right and catch plenty of bass. Am interested in state competition, and hope it goes through.I am 65 yrs old, and like the saying goes, you're never too old to learn. All I have is a 12ft aluminum boat/and 15hp johnson outboard/and a 30 lb thrust trolling motor. It gets me around for now, but next spring, I'm hoping to be able to get my own bass boat. Then, I will be able to fish more often. Your Friend, Al Glad |

Hi, I'm Michelle and live in Los Angeles but frequently fish out of Long Beach. It's convenient for me to go a couple days a week (because I'm a addicted to fishing), even after work but will venture out to lakes on the weekends. If I could, I would go more often but my husband doesn't like me fishing alone at night hahaha. |

Hello all My Name is Josh. I live in Sanger, a small town just outside fresno. I have 2 boys (11&4) and we all go out fishing as much as we can. At least 2 times a year me and my oldest go out deep sea. It has become a yearly event on my b-day. We have been going every year since he was 5yr. My youngst is just starting to get into the fun. My wife is ok with all the fishing, but she is verry supportive of all the getting out and having fun. (I Go For What Ever Bites) Thanks Josh |

Name is Ben, I live on the peninsula in San Mateo Co. Istarted fishing at the age of 8, mostly in the bay until I was old enough to drive. Fishing is something that I picked up on my own, nobody taught me about it I just fell in love with it and learned through reading and a whole lot of trial and error. Fall, Winter and Spring are spent chasing down trout. I spend the Summer months surf casting for strippers. |

I am in Oxnard and although I haven't been out in a while, I would like to get back out there once in a while. It would probably help if I caught some. Been out quite a few times and caught zilch. I can fish out of the Ohio River and pull stripers and huge cats all day long. Not sure why that isn't the case out here in Cali. |

My name is Gil Trucha. I am an angler from Southern California, La Puente, Ca. I have been doing mostly trout fishing, and just recently started going on cattle boats, and fishing bass in local lakes. I am in a fishing club called Team Trucha, mostly family members, close friends and other anglers that come out and fish with us. We take two trips a year to the Eastern Sierras once in May and once in October. I joined NAFC to get more knowledge, tips and maybe pickup a couple of secrets you guys are willing to budge with.

Greetings,
My name is Tony Belli, I'm 50 and live in the California Sierra near Lake Tahoe. I started fishing in 1980 and it is my sanctuary from life. I fish mountain lakes, reservoirs and streams for Bass, Trout and Mac, and I love eating them as much as fishing for them. My hound dog loves to eat em to.
I am retired from law enforcement and work from home today as a writer. I'm working on my 2nd book.

Hi everyone, I'm Jason from Clearlake. Enjoy fishing with my wife and our daughter for Bass and Cats and what ever else we can come across. The wife and I used to fish when we were kids, long before we met and we are just getting back into it and having a blast learning everything we can. |

Hello, all. I'm Scott Randall and I guess I'm just reestablishing myself back onto the forum. I was the original poster of this thread back on June 11, 2007, and I've just been so busy with life and other hobbies and forums that I let this one go away. What I lost was a lot of new found friends and acquaintances from this forum since I've been absent. I see that I'm now considered a "new member" with only 2 posts, but I was quite the poster 3 and 4 years ago. Time to get back into it and see what's going on around this state of ours. Just a refresher about myself: I live in Central CA (Lemoore) and I love to fish for about any fresh and saltwater fish. I have my own bass boat (2003 G-3) and take it to many lakes and rivers from northern to southern CA. I'll often get on a "cattle boat" out of Point Loma in San Diego or Virg's in Morro Bay. I've caught marlin in Cabo and tarpon in Key West so as you can see, I enjoy fishing. I retired from the US Navy in 2003 but now work as a contractor for a Navy squadron. We travel often to Key West for Navy training and take full advantage of the fishing that area has to offer. Anyways, now you know a little about me, I'm hoping to meet up with from fellow members for some local fishing. BTW, my wife and 17 yo daughter enjoy fishing and camping as much as I do. Well, maybe not nearly as much as I do, but they can't pass up any fishing themselves. We all fly fish for trout and tie our own flies and custom make our own fly rods. Thus my new username, "Troutinator". |

What's up guys n gals, I live in Torrance (20mi south of Los Angeles). My main stay if fishing the salt, with main targets based on season. Winter time I target rockfish from the Channel Islands to Mexico, spring time is white seabass, rockfish, and bass prep time. Summer, hmmm if you live here you know the drill. Calico and sand bass, baracuda, yellowtail, white seabass, and TUNA!!! Fall sees more of summer fishing with a mix of offshore tuna and tails. Cortez Bank for hardcore yellowtail fishing and tuna. When all else fails I go for trout during the winter to spring and catfish summer and fall... Tight lines and screaming drags... |

I am Jon and I live in the San Jose area. ALWAYS wanting a fishing partner if anyone is so inclined to call. I am new here from the east coast so am learning new things about the craft. I mostly fish salt water but since the Pacific is so much more violent than the Atlantic I have been getting back into fresh water. Like fishing for Blues back east, here I like fishing for Steel Head and for any king of fresh water fish that is biting that day. |

Hey, Leo. I've fished Success many times, but not always with great success (stupid joke). I live in Lemoore, about an hour from Porterville. I have a bass boat, but have been spending more time fly fishing Sierra creeks and local rivers than taking the boat out. Maybe some day we'll get together if I'm in the area. Scott |
