Took the family up to Huntington Lake yesterday for a day of fishing/swimming/barbequing.  Got to the lake at 9:30am and started catching fish as soon as my bait hit the water.  It was fish on every cast.  Maxed out at 30 trouts for the six of us.  Cooked 6 for the family to eat and took home 24.  Awesome day of fishing!!

Wow! is right. I've never fished Huntington, but have driven past a few times on the way to Edison. Looks like the family had some great success. What was the bait of choice?

Powerbait did the trick. Colors were orange with glitter, green, and the rainbow one. Rooster tails also worked.

When it comes to camping the Sierras, it's hard to beat fresh trout for dinner. I've heard Huntington and Edison has brown trout, but still waiting to see some of our own come to hand.

How was the boat traffic? Thinking of going there next month. Hope to have the same results as you and your family did.
