Well fella`s been in Co. the last 33yrs now and currently been living just south of Parker.Fished pretty much around the entire state.Caught several different species of trout, many pike, large & smallmouth bass, crappie and the beloved carp as well as catfish and plenty eyes of late. enjoy fishing for all species. I went to Granby last weekend and we caught a lot of lakers. Most were in the 3-5lb range but we landed a couple over 10. I mostly fish for walleyes but to get away from the heat I often go to the mountains and fish for trout,pike,lakers and kokannee.

There are numerous reservoirs in that area but many are drawn down during summer irrigation. You also have the Arkansas and purgatoire rivers

Moved to Collbran Co

I drive water truck in the oilfield, I lived in Pa most of my life but Co is now my home.   I love it

I have not had much time to go fish yet but this summer I will, would love it if anyone would want to show me around

I will have my boat out here in the spring going to go to Pa in April get my boat fish a few day then stop in KY and crappie fish Barkley Lake for 10 day then back to Co

Living in the Colorado Springs/Woodland Park area, it has been my pleasure to fish the Rockies since 1978. Antero was my first and is still my favorite CO lake.  I have not made it back to Antero since it re-opened last year. I hear it nears its old standard of growing big fish in a short time. I am also glad that Rampart was finally re-opened after 9-11, it is quite easily one of the most beautiful Lakes a person can fish.

 I am glad to see that most of the Lakes have reached their limits. The drought and the Hayden Fire took its toll on many of lakes in CO. I hear that John Martin is nearly back to normal. It is also a pleasure to know that Blue Mesa is getting back to its proper depth. I try to get their at least once a year for the Spring Kokanie harvest.

My name is Ricky and I justmoved back to colorado in september. I use to live in this area 3 years ago and that pretty much the last time I have fished in co. With acception of one time in Nov at Cherry creek res. (I caught a single rainbow) I live in the littleton area. I am getting my Non-Resident license soon and plan on going out allot from shore as well as using my dads boat as much as possible. So as soon as that happends I will be posting all my reports on this site as well as another Colorado fishing forum that i'm not sure if I can mention. Anyway I am glad to be a part of this community and hope to start contributing really soon.

Hello, What's up? Anyone been catching perch with consistency? I want to take my boys that they can catch a bunch.      

I just moved from the DC area to Golden, CO and was looking for some good, close spots to go either fly fishing or bass/walleye/pan fishing (from shore, no boat).

Just started fly fishing so am new to all of this so if anyone was interested in getting together to do some fishing, that'd be great too!

I moved from St Louis to Denver in 1994 and basically gave up fishing because I thought fly fishing was all that happened in CO. I didn't want to learn a whole new technique and invest a bunch of money in different equipment. A couple of years ago my college age son got back into bass fishing around the Longmont/Fort Collins area and I was hooked again. I recently moved to Pueblo and am trying to learn how to fish for walleye without a boat. I have been fishing Valco Ponds with very little success. I understand there is bass in Lake Pueblo, but I'm not sure how you fish that place without a boat. I have really been striking out and I'm looking for someone who knows the area who could give me some current info and some serious help with the "no catch" situation.

Yep, I made it.

I live in Longmont. Like to fish for trout and bass mostly.

Shore, Stream, Boat, Inflatable, any kind works for me.

Mostly spin fish more than fly.

Favorites to boat are Carter Lake, Boyd Lake, 11 Mile, Blue Mesa.

Favorites all around are Delany Buttes, Deep Creek Lakes, Michigan Res.

Local longmont bass holes (Golden Ponds, Macintosh, Lagerman.)
