I go bass fishing all of the time and it is very addicting but lately i havent been able to catch the spawing bass this year. If you know where i should fish or what bait i should use that would be great.

I am not sure that the spawning has begun yet.  I know when I do the tournaments down in Az it usually isn't until May that the spawning begins and then I just sight fish for the males on the beds.  When I first started to catch them spawning I used a senko but its hard to find the 3 in fatty senkos anymore but what I have found to be great on bed fish are some swim baits.  You can get them at wal mart and I just use the white ones mainly but I have just about all colors.  All you have to do with them is just cast a little bit above the bed and then drag it into the bed.  Every fish I have used them on will instantly hit the fish and are easy to hook.  They are also good for casting close to some cover and then swimming it back.  I have seen the fish come out of the cover and hit the swim bait hard.  You just have to remember that you have to set the hook soon if they do and got to keep them away from the cover.  I have lost many a swim bait by letting them run into the cover with it.

Back in Indiana we would texas rig a lizard. Just getting it close to the bed was usually enough to trigger a strike.
