Going to take the kids up to the Grand Mesa here in a couple of weeks.  I am from out of state and I am wondering how the lakes are and what to use to catch the fish there?

it has been years since i went up there. we are going in mid june also. i always used power bait at the lakes up there. you never know what color is going to be good, so take several colors with you.

Last year when I went up there I tried different things and found that on one lake they really liked spoons. I used an fire orange with white stripe and the fish wouldn't leave it alone.

i am on my way. we are in kansas for a few days, but slowly heading to colorado.
