Jim,  what town do u live?   Anyways what i like to do is find private ponds or little state ponds in state forrests.  I do this by going on google maps.  These small ponds are usually where i catch my big bass/pickeral.  What i like using is small-medium sized swimbaits like the Zoom Fluke.   i hook them texas rigged but weightless.  Every year it seems i catch a couple bass from the 5-8 pound range.  cast near shore and give it a jerk ever 4-5 seconds.  This has always worked for me.  this techique also catches a  lto of fish.  Also i would try to get the new yum money minnow.  my friend had one on the other day and he kick my butt.

I'm the type myself where if I fish with you, and you don't fish alot I will help u.As far as riggn u up tha same and shown u how to "twitch" it and so on. I will always help out a fellow angler. just tried it 2day on the canoe with my dad. We probably caught about 60 or more smallmouth bass. I fished above the scotland dam there. I used live hellgramites as bait. Those things work like a charm.
