Okay here we go again !

To all of the Fl. club members that are interested in forming a state chapter, post in on this thread and lets kick it off.

Once we have a list of folks  interested  in it , then we can arrange a meet  to discuss it  and put it together.

I just tossed some bait to ya , now lets fish ! ! !

I won't give up , the post is here ,people can read it and drop their name on it, I'm just saying that it is not looking good for a Fl. chapter . There just doesn't seem to be enough interested people. Which causes me to ask why do people join a club if they are not going to be active in it ?

Anyways the post is still here, if it ever generates enough interest , then we can start the process of putting together a state chapter.

However we can still do the member meet in Jan. at Kiss. , at least I am planning on being there. I have a boat and new fishing equipment to wear out.

So can we call 4 people a state chapter, if so then we are now a St. chapter. Who wants to be Chapter President the first year ? I volunteer to be event organizer.

I hereby nominate my #1 fishing buddy, Tom (Woo2) as Grand Poobah of the Florida State Chapter for the following reasons:

1 - he has the coolest fishing boat this side of the Okeechobee

2 - he has more rod/reel combinations in his "fishing room" than Bass Pro Shops

3 - he makes the neatest lures with his own little two hands

4 - his wife puts up with all that, so he might as well be president also

Well I am in the N/W Panhandle but due to blahblahblah I cant really travel to meets and such but I would like to be counted as a Florida member

My name is Keith I live in Madison County Florida, I would join a Florida Chapter. If you don't know were Madison is ( North Florida 60 Miles east of Tallahassee ) I fish mostly rivers and lakes, but if its fishing I'll do it.

  I gave up on this idea and have not pursued it .

The reason being , is nobody wants to travel to have meets , nobody wants to step up and help with this chapter idea, and I'm not willing to take on the whole thing by myself . So that being said , if any of y'all want to step up and cast  alure , I'll move out of the way.

    Well it's been a year and nobody has stepped up to take control of the rudder and pilot this thing  ( Fl. Chapter ) so again I am saying it's a dead issue with me . Y'all take it and run with it  I'll be a member if it kicks off .

   I would like to know if there has been an NAFC Florida organization set up yet?  I have been reading the posts here.  But it does not look official.

    This is something I might be interested in.  I just joined Lifetime this month.  I have known NAFC for over  twenty years because of their mailings to me both in Washington State and now my final stop,  Florida.

    Meetings would have to be centrally located. I would not dry five to seven hours away from Bonita Springs.  It looks like you guys are really having trouble getting this going.  In reality,  you do not have to meet every year,  you could structure it for a meet every third or fourth year,  we could join this club and handle things through  e-mail newletters.  We could all contribute our own particular area of news.  We would be a club,  but it woulld be casual that way and would at least get it started.  Then moving around the state every third or fourth year would be something to look forward to, and plan for.

   E-mail clubs are constructive,  and the way of the future.  That way stories are exchanged and we each can contribute a small amount of say $25 to join.

   These are ideas,  but they can be made to happen.  I just think you need structure.
