Oh well all the rain in North Florida and Georgia have caught up with this area and the Suwannee is out of her banks. Should have waterfront property by the 14th. Hopefully it won't be any worse than it was in 2004-2005. Will keep you posted. Paul

Back when I made all those posts (over a period of 3 years) I was building a new home here in Notth Central, Florida and had hurt my back. Really did not fish much then. But things are different now. Here is a photo of the River looking from the South East corner of our 10 acres. This was taken a 3PM today. Paul

Water came up the road about 40 yards closer to hitting my lowest point. They are calling for the River to crest now on the 17th at about 18 ft above normal. Should still be OK even at that height. Have a great evening. Paul

Came up quite a bit during the night. It will be headind to my Pond which has been dry for 4 years shortly. By tomorrow morning it should be almost full. Then it will fill up the lower edge of our 10 acres. The house is quite high and I have my John Deere on standby. Thanks for your concern. Paul

The Suwannee has crested in this area at 14.5 feet that is about the same as 2004/2005 flood stage. I bought a Jon Boat and Trolling motor. I can always use it on the canals near the flats on the Gulf waters near here, But for now Pam and I can use it to cruise down the road. The boat ramp about 1/8th of a milr from my driveway is about 8 feet underwater and the Suwannee is closed to all traffic until she gets back inside her banks and that should be a month or so from now.. I cut a new driveway through the woods so we can get to the house. Attached are a couple photos. One shows how close the water came to the house the other is of Pam in the Jon Boat that was taken at the end of our driveway last night. As for the house it is high and dry . Thanks for all your concern. Paul and Pam

Today the Suwannee backed off a bit. Got one driveway back. Just hope that I see another change in the morning. But it will take a couple months and a lot of work to get back to normal. Hey, Clearwater I get down that way every couple months my Brother lives in Tarpon Springs and my wife and I used to live on Lake Tarpon in Palm Harbor. Behind SNAPPERS Resturant off HWY 19. Have a great evening. Paul

Well the river went down another 6 inches or so last night. However there is still some water from Georgia heading this way. This surge will not be as much as the last. Things are looking up here. Thanks for all your concern. Paul
