i live in jacksonville fl. would like to know what is the best tide to fish here

I don't live in Fl. but here in NY, the best tide to fish is incoming tide. It also depends on the speices too. But for the most part, I'd say incoming is probably the best tide to fish where ever you live.

I know i catch most fish 2 hours before tide comes in and 2 hours while tide comes out

Try eather tide changes, One hour before and one hour after.
Fresh or salt both the same. Viet Vet USAF 71-75 Sgt.

That's called "the magic hour". It's really 90 mins...or about, also called slack tide.

I live here in Mayport/Atlantic Beach and go out about 1 1/2 to 2 hours before high tide.you'll see bait fish and shrimp show up first then game fish following those.Afternoon tides are the best time for catching game fish as the sun warms up the salt marshes and brings the baits in closer.

I like to go surf fishing at low tide so I can find a runout, a channel in the sand that the fish follow in with the tide. It's where I also catch red fish. Quite often I'll stay through high tide. I have several place where I like to go. 15th street in Atlantic Beach because parking is close to the beach, Michlers Landing and the gate station near Guana park where I also fish quite often. Only caught five whiting last week, the surf was rough.
