Hey georgians  I was just wondering were are good spots at the west point lake for crappie fishing.  I've been trying yellow jacket and halfmoon creek area without any luck for the past couple of weeks I've been there.  Just been cruising around on the boat wondering where to go next to catch the slabs.  Oh if you guys can add the stripers location it would be nice.  Thanks Nang

It's hard to get anyone from Ga to reply, I've been trying for some time to get a group together.....no one interested enough to do it!! I've been wanting to go to W P but just haven't made it yet. I hear there is some good fishing down there. Hope you find them and please let me know...I may have to MAKE special time to get down there

    Good Luck

hey FishinFreak62 nice to talk to you. Well i see what you mean by the comment replys. I can never plan a schedule to go fishing due to my work. without taking a vacation it can never be done when i wanted to, but fishing is great at west point lake especially for crappies and hybrids. I don't know about the stripers but i just got a report on crappie fishing and it is doing pretty good at about 10-15 feet of water. they are catching them at halfmoon creek and whitewater creek. Yellow jacket wa****ting but they are moving  very shallow to get ready to spawn. I was told by a group of friends that they saw a school of crappies of about 15-20 in about 2 foot of water around a brush. Oh sunny point creek is also doing good right now

Thanks for the heads up All Day....Maybe we can hook up sometime and you can show me the lake...in the mean time I'm going to pass the info on to my step-dad and mom (both retired and fish when they want..that stinks!!)  We were just talking the other day about this very thing and West Point is where they will be fishing.
     See me later
