I currently live in Elmhurst and have concluded that either 1) i suck at fishing depsite doing everything not half-assed (keeping in mind that this also means that I do somethings half-assed; like standing under trees as I case because I think I can thread the needle - and I don't) or 2) there is no fish in Dupage county forest preservers (which I know is not true - and it may still be too early, but dang it, get on the hook already).

Hence I am willing to travel out of my comfort zone and take a chance at fishing Clinton Lake.  I have never been there.  I don't own a boat (I proudly wear the skirt in the family) or other means of floatation.  Thus I shore fish (I do have waders)

Thus, where can a guy like me shore fish (with a good chance of actually catching something) on clinton lake and should (could) I use my waders and wehre should I wade in?

THanks brother and sisters for your advice.

I just recieved a very nice package of info from the Clinton Area CC that included a fairly decent map. Call 866-4-DeWitt for the package. The Phone for Weldon Springs Park is 217-935-2644 and the phone for Clinton SRA is 217-935-8722. There is a boat rental at Clinton SRA. Tom
