We had some severe storms pass through yesterday, I was down at the local pond and got stuck there when the storm came up. This was the first time I have ever seen waves and whitecaps on this 3 acre pond. I have a trip with my daughter in law planned for today, it will be interesting to see what effect the storms had on the fishing. I loaded up on crawlers and leeches, I'm thinking this might be the time. Tom |

My son and I tried right after the storms earlier in the week with no luck. No one else on the lake seemed to be having much luck either. Rough weather always seems to knock fishing out of whack for a day or two. I'm gonna try early tomorrow morning, see what kind of luck I can get. |

Had a nice day outdoors today, the fishing was fine but the catching stunk! I did not see a single fish landed other that the 3 small bass the DIL caught. I thought the water would have been much cloudier but was exceptionally clear. Tom |

I took my son out for a little while earlier today, but we didn't fish long. We weren't having any luck and he was getting a bit bored, and then I got a HUGE rat's nest in my baitcaster, so we decided to pack it in for the day. I think I may try early tomorrow morning by myself. I love taking my son, but some days you just have to leave the young anglers at home. |

Max: My children are all grown, was out yesterday and got a visit from my grandkids and their folks. Being a well prepared grampa, I had a kiddy pole and put the two little ones to work fishing. Grandson (4) had no patience, his sister(3) stuck with it and caught a nice sunfish. While the little ones were with me, I stopped fishing and worked with them. Taking a child fishing is a great thing, but don't go fishing and bring a young one along. Either take the child and expect to not get much fishing done, or go alone or with adults. Less stress all the way around! Tom |
