Chinnook Fishing Area and sometimes called "Stauton" right up my alley, 1st (2) lakes you come to off of US 40 ,you'll know the area because it has Porta potty/Hunter check in hunt,  good shoreline fishing this time of year, not great but not bad,Bass are there too be had, very clear water most of the time..Very weedy in mid summer.Other lakes do have shoreline line fishing but limited but if you fight off the weeds you can do alright.Better fishing at Chinnook if you have somesort of water craft.

Thanks for the information! With the good weather we are going to have again this weekend we will be fishing! I know we are heading down into the dugger pits and now know we will be stopping by Chinnook. Just so i am clear,,,we are talking about the same place that really close to the Brazil exit on I-70?

We won't be using a boat so hopefully we will catch some.

White? really?  I usually use Culprit size 7.5 Tequilla Shad for good solid fishing. Now if I just want to make it an every cast, catch a fish type day. I switch up to the Culprit size 7.5 Crawdad! Talk about some serious fun.

Went to Dugger,,,had a pretty good day. Wind wasnt too bad thankfully. We Fished Todd lake by the boat ramp and caught a few keepers. Fished all day around that area so we didnt make it to Chinnook. Heading back in a few weeks so hopefully the weather is warm and the wind is light! " Fight em' until your arms wear out!"
