What month do you plan on doing your trout fishing? I have fished some of the streams of the "Driftless Area" of NE Iowa and have some information on the hatches that occur during the year. If you are a spin fisherman I would recommend using a rooster tail silver spinner with a white tail 4-6lb test line ultra light rod and reel. Tight lines!
