It's a big task to set one of these suckers up, but if you do it this summer, I'll try to make it. Keep me posted.

I live in Sedan, just 40 miles from Coffeyville. I fish with several NAFC members that live here. We fish the local lakes and rivers around here. A couple of us are heading to the lake in Howard KS, just north of here in aabout an hour as a matter of fact. The fishing has been great the past couple of weeks. We fished Card Creek yesterday just west of Independence. You should come join us sometime.

Card Creek was really muddy when we were there. Didn't have much luck and the white bass weren't active it seemed. I have found a cool way to fish New Sedan Lake. All the rain has got the flatheads right up on the shoore in a foot of water or less. My son and I toss crankbaits up in those shallows, twitch it a couple of time and you are tangling with 10 lb plus flatheads. It is great fun using bass lures and medium tackle to catch them. We are pulling crappie and bass out of those same shallow waters, the flatheads are just a bonus and a lot of fun to fight.

Hey Guys, I am going to each state page to encourage all of my fellow members that can, to all get together one saturday for breakfast, then have a meeting and get to know everyone, and then organize a "State Chapter" for your home state. Sounds like you all have enough guys there to get the ball rolling. Once you get your chapter all set up, then you can have your first official NAFC Kansas Meet... Wink<!--graemlin:;)--> I have created a new post called " NAFC Kansas Chapter ???" to get it started. Feel free to stop in and express any ideas or thoughts. Good Luck Guys, I look forward to seeing a Kansas Chapter in the near future. Have a great Day from BigDog... Cool<!--graemlin::cool:-->

I live in Wichita, and would like to see a Kansas chapter also. I couldn't find any posts after July is anyone still talking about it? I do most of my fishing at local urban lakes and the Boeing Employees club lake, I retired in'04. It would be good fun to meet some other members, especially in Wichita. My email is
josephbreig@sbcglobal.net I'm also a HAM and RACES member; my call is KC0WRA on the 146.940 repeater. 73s and good fishing. Joe
