sorry it took so long to get back here, but i forgot my password. OK i fished KY and Barkley lake on April 1,2,3 and fishing was great. Took lots of large bass on crome and blue rattle traps. My largest bass was 5lbs for the trip[est] Had lots of 3 and 4 lbs bass. All the fish came off gravel secondary pionts near the main lake. Water was 2 ft. bellow summer pool and 58 deg.
Went again to the lake for 7 days on April 19nd thru April26. Water was 2 foot over summer pool and the temp was between 58 to 65. Fish have moved up into the shallows and fishing again was great. I fished the old shore line { now in nearly 6 feet of water with a shaky head worm;[ green watermelon] on a 5/16 oz jig. The wind started about thuresday and i fished a 4 inch power worm on a 1/6 oz slip. [blue fleck] Flat kick some bass butt. Probably caught 30 bass a day most were 14 inch. Did catch a 5 fish bag at 22lbs, the largest was 5.2. Fish are probably staging to spawn now and i hear the lake is back at summer pool. Get out there and give it a shot
