KY Ladies and Gents.... We are looking for NAFC members from KY that is willing to help with the chapter (s). Please post what dates and times you will be free and where you think or would like to have a meet at that way maybe we can get a set date and time for everyone that would like to help out. When the date is posted we would  appreciate a yea or nay response. Cause it takes more then just one or two people to start a Chapter. and if we can get a meet them maybe we can get the details indea's & concerns from everyone that is willing to help make this happen. We hear ya flappin' but do you really want in. Sounds like a plan to me bro. so one week from friday think that would be 6-5-09 i think.

If any other members have any input please post it in here. Any thoughts, ideas, or suggestions? I personally do not own a boat anymore. Are we shore bound? Boating buddies? Is the meet going to be a one day event or a weekend affair? Etc...

yea. lets wait untill the 5th that way we have given everyone a week. Well I guess I am going to get my brothers son and take him to the park and fish the back waters. going to try to hook him up with a bull carp or a big river cat. lol so far the biggest fish he has landed was a 2lb bass. ttyl fred good fishin to ya.

Thanks Fred, Same to you and ur family bro.  I was aiming to do that but I never got the chance to do it. Yea me too bro. I talked to one of my friends that goes fishing and he said that he isn't a member but his 10 yr son is a member of the NAFC. and he is very VERY good at Fishing. So I told him what we are trying to do about getting a Kentucky Chapter started. and he said he will think about becomming a Member.

OK PEOPLE HERE IT IS!

We will be having a meet JULY 4th weekend this will be a weekend ordeal. Location will be Mammoth Cave National Park. If you drink BYOB! bring ur wife and kids if you like. we will be doing some speedlunking (caving) as well as Fishing. How do I get to Mammoth Cave?
From the North: Take Interstate 65 to Exit 53 (Cave City Exit). Turn right onto KY-70. Follow 70/255 as it becomes the Mammoth Cave Parkway in the park. Follow the Mammoth Cave Parkway to the Visitor Center.

From the South: Take Interstate 65 to Exit 48 (Park City Exit). Turn left onto KY-255 and follow 255 as it becomes the Park City Road into the park. Follow Park City Road until it joins the Mammoth Cave Parkway; turn left. Follow the Mammoth Cave Parkway to the Visitor Center.

I think that I can make it, I will have to clear it with the boss first. lol. My brother is also a Kentucky member, I'm sure he would come with me. Im sorry I have not been around latly, but I have been very busy starting a company over the last several weeks.

Went Cat Fishing today after I got done working on the farm and after that big storm came. and I think I caught about 8 cats in less then 30 min. time frame.... Gotta Love that HOG WILD!!!! also caught 4 large mouth bass on the Fly rod using red with white spots bass popper... been a ok day today.. hope every1 had a good day as well...

we like pitching a tent in the woods too. not big on the camping sites, but will camp there if need be. cant wait for the meet. hope we can make it. pretty sure we can

If it was me alone I would be in the flood plains. Having my wife and two kids under 4 years old it will be best for me to be at a campground. Anything that keeps my kids happy is great by me. Either way we will all meet up. Once everyones plans are "set in stone" please let everyone know so that we can figure out where to meet on the first day. Thanks.

I know what you mean Fred, As soon as I figure out where I am going to camp I will post it. Sorry I wasn't on lastnight. My Nephew wanted to go fishing @ greenbo Lake today so I told him he had to go catch his own Nightcrawlers lol if he wanted to go fishing, That way he would under stand how people along time ago use to do it. plus my uncle made me do it and now it was my turn lol. I think the little ones get a better Apperation if they catch something on a bait that they worked hard to get. he did a good job for his first time also got 4 1/2 doz.

Think I am going to make an outdoorsman out of him yet....

Well Greenbo sucked "as always".went to the farm pond Nephew got 2 or 3 gills. and he got his first fish using a lure today, "using a beatle spin".  I got 2 really large gills and 15 big farm pond cats. last one I think cracked my rod. but if it did it was well worth it. I just love a fish that gives a great fight!  I will make a new thread and post Pictures A.S.A.P!!!

I think I'm going to camp at the  Mammouth Cave Campground. Cost is $17 a night. With kids it's great because they have running toilets, showers, and an on site store. I have to wait until my wife gets her schedule to make reservations. Should be able to give you all a site number by next weekend.
