Hey all, this is in no means anyway to try to be in charge, but as a new member and fisherman here. I would really like to meet new friends and members in this area and see about getting a local board going for us to swap help and tips. This is our state and who knows it better right.

Well if you get on here and see this say hi, and where your from. And maybe we can get our knowledge flowing and help. Ill start.

My name is Chris Prine Jr.

    I am 27 years old, turning 28 July 9th.

Fished a little bit when I was really young, and started back up 3 weeks ago in hopes to learn this sport and the fun and joy so I can help my son learn this. He just turned 1 a few weeks ago.

I live in West Monroe, La.

I hope to get to know you all and we can start planning a weekend or just start sharing ideas to get to know each other more.

    Thanks,

    Chris

Prince01 I am a brand new member up here in Shreveport and its good to see that you are trying to get a Louisiana delegation started.  I am a novice fisherman at best, but I am passionate about learning the "2nd oldest profession"(we all know what the first one is...lol) Anyway, I mostly fish in Cross Lake, but I am going to try to get to Red River this weekend.  Look forward to hearing from you all.

hi, im ashley and im down in port sulphur.i love it here the fishing is amazing!!! my husband and i have fished together for about three years now and im fishing every day. we used to live in new orleans and would travel to arkansas and other places to fish. now we are almost catching our limit on trout every time we go out and 25 to 33in redfish all the time. i have gotten spoiled!!! 40 pound black drum and tons of sheep head right off the dock. i have noticed that the fish bite best on outgoing tides. try to find deep holes when its cold the fish tend to sit there when its cold and they go shallower in the summer. i always fish bottom unless for trout which sometimes i still catch on bottom. i try to use smaller weights so not to scare the fish when they start to bite. and be careful when hooking trout dont pull to hard or you will rip the hook right out of their mouth. the reds have hard mouths so when your fishing bottom really set the hook. and thats all i got i hope you have fun and i hope thats helped a little.

Hi all. My name is Kevin I live in Central, (north baton rouge) but i fish between Delacroix and Point La Hache, sometimes between Hopedale and Shell Beach (lake Borne). I would really love to learn some good freshwater areas to fish but bass that are a descent size. The only freshwater I do other than private ponds is Blind River by Petite Amite.

Hey everybody I'm Dustin. I turn 22 next week and have been fishing since I could hold a little mickey mouse rod. I just got out of the Marine Corps a couple of months ago, moved back to Kenner, and looking to get back into fishing. I've always been freshwater but I've been starting some saltwater/brackish fishing lately. I've been going every weekend and plan to keep going. I've also been going down to Port Sulphur to the Myrtle Grove Marina. I'm looking for some fishing buddies to go with frequently and to learn more about LA fishing. If anybody's interested shoot me a message on here.

Hi Y'all ... I'm Miki. Been a Louisiana Cajun all my life. I live west of Alexandria. NOT about to tell all you younguns how old I am! LOL I fish, hunt, scuba dive, ride a 4 wheeler and own a 4X4 ... I am an outdoors girl. I live west of Alexandria. I have 3 lakes within 5 minutes of my driveway .... Cotile, Kincaid and Valentine .... I'm 25 minutes from Red River. My best friend and I fish and hunt all over. Heading to Johnson's Bayou the last weekend of the month to do some Saltwater fishing and crabbing. My husband loved to fish Toledo Bend, God rest his soul. Haven't been back to fish there yet but will go again one day soon. I fish every opportunity I get .... from my neighbors 2 acre pond next door to the lakes and rivers of Arkansas (these are my most frequented spots). Hope everyone gets to wet a line this weekend and ends up with a stringer full!

Hey all, Eric here. I live in Ville Platte, and usually fish Chicot Lake. Just joined in June, and am really just starting to check-out the forums. Let's keep some action going in this forum. I know I could always use some more fishing holes and ideas in my home state.
