I don't know about you guys but I'm ready for ice fishing.  I'm planning on hitting up the Schoodic Lake, Moosehead Lake, and Pushaw Lake derbys this year.  Are there any others that anyone would recommend?

Hi Id, nice to meet you.  There are a couple up here in the county if you're interested.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him (and his family) for a lifetime.

    Hi jd,
We got one here in Naples next weekend,Feb.14th and 15th.,2009. Just a small one to benefit the United Way charities. Will be held on Long lake, tongue and salmon are the quarry.Small prizes, but a good day to get the kids out there. No license is required for the two day event.
There are two more derbies in the weeks to come. One is The Sebago lake derby held on the weekend of Feb.21-22,2009,and the other is the Statewide Derby held on the weekend of March 7-8,2009.Here is the URL for their homepage:  http://www.icefishingderby.com

I would've actually liked to check that one out.  Next weekend the Schoodic Derby though.  Good luck though, I'm glad to hear that organizations like the United Way are holding derbys, its a good cause.
