Anyone fish the Magothy river, any tips?

Oh yeah....I've fished the Magothy alot last season. I had a good time with the pickerel. Largest was 22 iches. Not HUGE....but fun on light tackle. Road Runners tipped with a minnow were the trick. I even caught a few smallish rockfish, and white & yellow perch can be had too. Caught the perch on Fishbites (the bloodworm flavor)  Rockfish on cutbait.

Thanks, trying to fine a good place to catch a few fish in the magothy with the grand kids.

i have a house on the magothy. fishing around piers with small inline spinners and jigs has caught me a lot of perch and pickerel. the perch are responsive to rainbow or rainbow trout colored blades.
