Can anyone reccomend some lures I should take with me to the Piney Run Early Bird Tournament

Take some crankbaits.  and swimbaits. With any luck you can get some pre-spawn bass action. They should be hanging around drop offs  next to the shallows.

When is the tourney ? Because you can't keep bass.

On that note I would go after catfish on the bottom and fill my stringer with Crappie. That way you can win with a large Cat or a dozen nice Crappie.

It is March 27th

Bass is catch and release during that time so I would check with the rules to see otherwise. That being said try for Cats, Carp or some other species in the lake.
