    Are the Bass SPawning in MD Yet? Also, If anyone has fished Gilbert Run, Could you please tell me the Water Temperature?

    I think it's touch and go around the State. The water temp is still fluctuating.  I would suggest grabbing some polarized shades get to the lake and scan the shallows. If you see the Bass on the beds then it's about that time.

    During the past 2 weeks while fishing at small ponds in N. Central Md I've seen bass 'cuddling up', and some staking out territory for nests, but I haven't seen the actual nests just yet.  They have mostly ignored the 8 lures or so that I've tried.  Got other bass on their minds instead of eating.
     
    Since the small ponds warm up quicker than the big lakes, I'm guessing there's a few more weeks yet to go, depending on the waters.
