I've been waiting for the Potomac to settle. It's been raising and falling with crazy frequency. So I needed to get out. So we hit it. I was stained and high but the fishing was ok. I caught 5 Smallies between 8 and 12 inches. My buddy Jeff caught 18 in the same range. Looks like it's only going to get better.

Where did you go out... I have a good spot on the Pot after the Harpers Ferry Bridge that I like to hit.

Have you tried hitting the rip-rap that is at Point of Rocks yet? I want to hunt for cats there...

Yep, That be my haunt. I have a 12' kayak and we get into that and get hold of some 3 lb Smallies. Last yr we saw s school of cats maybe 10 in all somewhere in the 8 lb range. We camped just south of Heaters Island and caught 8 cats in the 10 lb range they are there and love cut blue gill.

Great! I will have to try that. I fish from the Bank. I sit out at Dargans Bend Boat Ramp for the best Channel Cat Fishing. I Caught my first Potomac Blue Cat over the weekend and now I am completely hooked on them. Hope to go back down and catch some more. Such a beautiful fish...
