If you are a NAFC member and live in Mass., Please be sure to sign in here so we can all get an idea of how many members are in your state and what part of the state they live. Hopefully, you'll have enough members to start up a "State Chapter" and a "State Meet". Be sure to stop in the new post called "NAFC Massachusetts Chapter ???" and leave your thoughts & ideas as well as your questions. Wink<!--graemlin:;)-->

I'm from Western Massachusetts. Do most of my fishing in NEw HAmpshire and Maine though. Saltwater for stripers, flounder, cod, anything that bites my hook, except maybe the dogs.

I live in the Boston area and mostly fish in the metro-Boston area: Jamaica Pond, Brookline Reservoir, Houghton's and Ponkapoag Ponds, the Charles River. I try to target largemouth bass and stocked trout, when available.

my local area is newton white's pond and dug pond killer bass walden is good if you can beat the swimmers in the mornning. I keep talking Hardy pond for bass in the last 5 years it has been reclamied monsters in there but you need a small jon boat or canoe. which I don't have
I also have a 20 ft ruuabout that I fish the harbor and outter islands "B" bouy for cod when the wheather is right I have had a bad year for strippers not even the schoolie's liked me.
I am allways looking for people to fish fresh waters with I know some good spots in my local area that are not well known but need a jon boat to fish them.
I am heading to NH lake winnie this week for vacation plan to do lots of fishing and boating
e-mail me if any got any ideas when I get back

Hello, fellow anglers.  I live in North Attleboro and fish a lot of the small ponds and lakes around here up and down Rt 1(Hoppin Hill, Whitings Pond).  Borderland State Park in Easton/Sharon is a good spot for bass and good size pickerel (pulled a 29" 3.11 pounder out this past summer - see pic).

Me and fishing partner have a 10 foot jon boat with a trolling motor. Once and a while I get out on another freinds boat and do some salt water fishing out of Westport. Nice fish, Kman!  What sort of trout was it - - a laker?  And what did you catch it on?

Do you do much stream fishing?  Personally, I'm partial to the Hoosic (Berkshire County), the Deerfield (Franklin County) and the East Branch of the Westfield (Hampshire County), but I'm willing to explore others.

no it was a largemouth, trolling a senko rigged weedless on an red offset shank hook(i do believe it makes a difference) in a belly boat , ive found trolling a senko is an awsome way to cacth fish , every now and then i let out about 50 ft of line and i get hits about 10 secs after i close the bale, they just swarm it, im still trying to post a pic of it but am having trouble

If it's a photo, you can try scaling it down using Picasa (free from Google at http://picasa.google.com) and then exporting to a smaller size. You can also upload the photo to a photo storing service like www.photobucket.com and then posting the link from there.

    Good luck!

    Hi Anglers

I am a local freshwater guy from Oxford and am the club President for the Central Mass BassMasters.  I wanted to introduce myself and am looking forward to getting in some open water.  Central Mass BassMasters is a new club and is open to anyone interested in freshwater fishing.  Our web site is currently under renovation, but will be up an running sometime over the next week or so.  Anyone interested in joining a club should contact me and I will be more than happy to give you all the information.  I fish all over Mass, but consider Buffom and Webster Lake my home territory.  Maybe i'll see you all on the lake.  Chat soon!

Sup, live in Scituate, fish every chance I get, like Tack Factory Pond and Cranberry Bogs off of Old Oaken Bucket. Both are great for bass, Tack Factory is good for crappie, perch, and I've heard cats and trout. Dont have or need a boat, all I use is and old Daiwa rod and reel with 12 lb. test and usually live shiners.
