    Has any member had a chance to go to the new bass pro shop yet? I hear it is quite the experince. 

     

     


    I enjoy the peace that fishing gives me.......... I fish for the moment............. Teach a kid to fish and they will teach thier's:)

    Hi I went three times since it opened. Great place a bit of sensory overload. Do yourself a favor and don't go on the weekend it's a total mad house. Besides that it's great to finaly have a place that carries all the fishing stuff you could ever want. I really need to touch and hold what I'm going to buy, but I'm weird like that.

    I've been once and hope to go again sometime soon. As big as it is, I was a little surprised that it didn't have as much of a selection in the freshwater fishing section as I would have hoped. I was looking for a Falcon Jig Wallet which they didn't have, but they had at the Cabela's in East Hartford.

    They also don't carry any big swimbaits, like Slammers...

    Still, a nice option to have closer to home.

    I have been to the one in Orlando FL a few times, when im done aeound there. I found it more overwhelming then fun. But I did like the Fish tank. I have not made it over to the one in RI yet. Really not in a big rush. I think Basspro is over priced. On another note, Its about a  2 hour drive from me. So I dont think I will be spending 60 bucks on gas to get there, only to find out I don't want anything they have that i couldnt order from Cabelas for less.
