All the posts I've seen so far have been about big lakes. Does anybody care about the smaller, less popular lakes? Those lakes have the potential to produce monster bass and walleye. Better access too.

I live in metro-Detroit area and have had some great days shore fishing at Kent Lake in Kensington Metro-Park, lots of Smallies, Largemouth, and Gills.  Pontiac Lake was awesome for Pike this year, caught a few Crappie's in there too.  Tried Proud Lake 3 times with zero luck however, haven't been able to figure that lake out.

Small lakes is all I fish. I'm in northern michigan, by the grand traverse bays and I would rather fish smaller inland lakes. it's more hands on, plus i don't have much expensive equipment. it just feels more old school.

i have an awesome inland lake for stocked rainbows and fish it for bull gills all the time. Local residents hate the fact that i put troutkilla on the side of my little boat. What they don't know is my grandfather lived on the lake and taught me where to fish and i still use an old bait he hadgiven me before he passed. I love inland lakes to fish and no sea sickness on them.
