Things seem a little wacky in this forum right now with the dates on some of the messages.  Is anyone out ice fishing yet?  How's your season so far?

I will be heading out possibly this weekend for some panfishing. I hope to post a report early next week. It will be my first time out.

I was hoping to get out this past week, but could'nt due to some health issues.  On a good note, a friend brought me some fresh bluegill fillets from sw WI.  I am anxious to hear how the ice fishing is in the Twin Cities metro area.  Please keep me updated.

I found some panfish on a south metro lake this afternoon. Magic depth was between 12' to 15' using small Lindy Techni-Glo Genz Worm tipped with waxworms. Marked a bunch of fish but they were all light biters or finicky. Had another rig set up at another hole with a small spoon tipped with a minnow that had a huge hit. I got to the hole in time and set the hook and the fish peeled line out and by the time I tightened my drag the fish was gone. Not sure what it was but I am guessing walleye...??!!

Does anyone live near Merrifield MN?  Any member?  I recently moved here because I hear its great place to fish, however, have yet to meet anyone who actually fishes here?

Had a blast at the Jaycee's tournament on Gull.  Didn't get anything, but my partner caught a .58# northern - good enough for 115th place and a Showdown digital fishfinder.
