The only time I've been there I spent the day jigging with leeches and minnows, and we all caught our limit of decent 'eyes.

    Enjoy!

Hi, we go to crane lake every year (east end of rainy lake) and we have used the gulp leaches on smallies. out fishes live bate 2 to 1.  I also recommend a good fluorocarbon line in 8 lb. for wally, bass and even northerns, if you use a steel leader.

Thanks for the post,   As our trip is getting close, I am more excited, I have been doing a lot of research and have scanned the maps I have over and over again, and found some pretty fishy looking spots, cannot wait to try them out.  It may take a few days to figure out the pattern but I am sure with a productive chain of lakes like that one, we will hit them eventually.  I will try and remember to post results upon our return.
