Hello..I have interest on doing some bass fishing on the lake once or twice a year I have a few questions and would appreciate a honest answer. I live in Wichita Kansas 1.Is the bass fishing as good as rated.(A) I have not fished it in a couple years but it was good when I did fish it. I used the typical seasonal bait selection for my approach but I always did fair. Never have got a 5 pound + out of the lake but many 3’s and a few 4’s. Lots of scrappy spots too. I love the fact you can fish for Largemouth, Spots, and Smallies all in 1 day. 2. what’s the best time of year to catch them shallow 2-20 feet. (A) I love the spring time on Table Rock. I do not keep any of the Bass I catch so I really love to sight fish. 3.What's the best baits and colors to use. (A) Table Rock is a pretty clear body of water depending on where you fish. I use a lot of natural colors and depending on the clarity of the water I downsize my baits a little. I like the clearest water I can find and I have watched Bass come up and rip a Zara Spook from 10 to 12 feet below the surface. 4. What’s the best structure for bass on this lake? (A) If the sight fishing or pre-spawn is over, I concentrate on pea gravel points with chunk rock on them. Have been on this lake but have never fished it yet. 5. I have interest from the dam to the Kimberling City Marina.(A) I usually put in at Kimberling City myself and I adore the North Indian Creek, Little North Indian Creek, and Jacques Creek area. I hope this help a little. The best gauge as you know is time on the water and talk to everybody you see. Remember, it’s not so much the area but how deep are the fish being caught. I would like to thank everyone that can help. Charles.....criviere@sbcglobal.net
