AS of June this year anyone operating a boat in NJ born after 1979, will be required by law to posses a boating safety corse certificate.

Within the next 2-3 years EVERYONE and ANYONE operating a boat on NJ waterrs will be required to have taken the course and be in possesion of the certificate!

I think this sux,I know hjow to safely operate my boat and have been doing so for the past 10 plus years!This is great for those under 21 and anyone purchasing a new boat,but why do those who already own a boat and use it safely being targeted?
In my opinion,they should go after those boaters who have 2 or more citations and PWC's and new boat owners?

Well,on the bright side maybe with all the fines they collect for boaters not possessing their certificate they will finally get around to lowering our taxes!

I am not going to hold my breath on that though!


Any of ya NJ boaters,better start lookin into these safety courses,lkast few i chexcked were around 100 bux and within the next three years,we all going to have to take this course.
