Well since wacker was asking Ill start a new discussion But I fish the Rio Grande south of Cochiti to south of Alb for Catfish( channels and flatheads)they are also down south more I just dont go that way often. From Cochiti up to Co. for Trout and Pike. This River hols alot of other species I have landed a few white bass(nice sized slabs to) out of the Algodones area there is Walleye,white bass, trout and others between Elephant butte and Caballo. I dont know if there is any below Caballo.

Could you tell me a good fishing spot below Ceballo Lake which I can access with my vehicle?

I never fished the rio grande but would love to try.

well right now there is not really that much fishing to be had under the butt or cabio, enless u get out there this weekend or the next. the reason, EBID will be closeing off the dams soon. an after that the river dries up.you could go out an spend a few hours driveing up an looking for deep holes that will hold the big cat's. but the best time is summer time, there are big cats are percha dam, an the 2 others down the way. an u can get to all of them very easy. good luck.
