    Brantingham lake right?

Well  I have a little info: Its a no motor lake only kayaks ,canoes ,and  row boats. It has 5.8 miles of shoreline, 325 acres of surface area, Maximum depth is 75 feet, average depth is 25 feet, species of fish in it are : whitefish, pickerel, white sucker, bullhead, rock bass, pumpkin, sunfish, blue gill, large mouth bass , yellow perch and is stocked with lake, brown and rainbow trout. Early mornings are best for trout as for as the day heats up they head for deeper water. pan fish are plentiful from most anywhere and bass around structures. If interested in fishing the st.lawrence river or Black river bay home of the salmon ,steelies and several other game fish let me know I could always use a fishing partner. I have a 19ft fishing boat. contact me by e-mail at :RNCFROG3@YAHOO.COM

Yes Ed Brant lake is on Rt. 8 on the way to Hague. Its a small lake and it used to be very popular but I don't know why. Not much there. Maybe a well kept secret.

Brantingham lake I believe is south of Lowville.

Then there is Brandreth lake which I believe is in a forever wild section of the adirondacks which doesn't allow motors. It is in the middle of no where.

Sander's fishing guides forum might have something as well. I'll check.

"Sander's fishing guides forum might have something as well. I'll check."

I belong to that site and they don't have many posts from the eastern part of the state but it don't hurt to ask. I could look it up in my Sander's Guide but looks like BillTell  may be just a one post guy but if he comes back I'll check...................

If Brant Lake is a "no motor lake" it must be a whole new regulation for sure. I have fished Brant Lake many times and launch from the state launch site on the the lake. We have even fished bass tournaments on the lake. There is a few summer camps on the lake including a private girls camp and a Boy Scout camp and they both have ski boats and take the kids skiing on the lake. So since when did it become a "no motor lake?" I will admit I have not fished the lake in a year or two; but I know peopel who have. I have not heard any such regulation and I am sure it would make the local news here. Oh yeah, there is also a marina on the lake across from the state launch.

As far as fishing goes... The lake has Brown Trout and boast a good Largemouth Bass population. Plenty of pan fish and pickerel too.

I was at Brant Lake last weekend. Yes you can have motors. The launch is a very busy place, at least when I was there.  Good Luck on your trip, enjoy!

Brant Lake is both a warm and cold water fishery. It has trout, pike, bassand of course pan fish. the ny. state channel cat record was caught out of this lake but I think someone played bucket biologist and dumped him in there and with plenty of feed he or she grew to 32 lbs.
